I was at the Art Biennial today and there was a timeline of tranvestites in the history of Peru (that was the term used, and I don't know enough to say if it was appropriate or offensive, sorry). It seemed very interesting but I didn't have time to read it all, but I might come back during the week just for that. From what I saw there were many texts about how native gender expressions and identities were violently erased and erradicated by europeans. I'll also need to write down the name of the artist, because that was one of the few works there that caught my interest, tbh. The rest was mostly meh... (though i didn't watch any of the films, so maybe there was something there)
