Let's lock death away.
She's got cats A couple of cats Clad in loose skin So hungry perhaps To eat her up And spit her out
Biffy Clyro - Lonely Revolutions
You are the summer, I'll feel forever, I'll bleed forever You think you are the greatest, I'll feel forever, I'll bleed forever
Eradicate The Doubt - Biffy Clyro
You left my heart like an abandoned car.

I've been counting on the wrong things to make life feel alright
Biffy Clyro - Born on a Horse
Well, you seem to be the most recommended Biffy Clyro blog on here. So I will lay my question upon you, if that's okay? My favourite Biffy song is Waiting For Green, do you know what it's about?
No problem. I'll try to live up to my reputation, haha.
It's fairly obvious that the song is about heartbreak over a relationship, like most early Biffy songs. The opening lines suggest that the relationship wasn't exactly approved of.
I am waiting for an answer to, all the lies they told to try and spoil youIt appears that their chance slipped away whilst awaiting approval from those who disapproved. Can't have lost the sweetness of your heartWhile waiting for green, waiting for green
Simon is now looking back on the relationship, full of regret at the missed chance.
I have grown up, you are grown and feeling stronger, feeling strongerMemories fade but regrets just make them stay forever, last forever
But in the end it was all part of growing up.
Growing up, growing up, growing up, growing up, growing up, growing...
The final lines seem like an afterthought, remarking how perfect they once seemed together (Incidentally, these lines appear in a completely different song 4 years before Waiting For Green was released).
Everything you left me was the same as I canEverything you wanted was the same as I canEverything you needed was the same as I can
So there you have it! Of course, I could be completely wrong about parts, but I'm fairly sure most of it is correct. Hope I've helped.
Oops....
.....I fucked up some of the words in the 'Here Come the Naturals' lyrics I posted yesterday. I've edited my original post and will rb later (can't rb from self on phone) Sorry guys. You can blame Si's pesky Ayr accent.
