Just wanted to put it out there
I’ve reached a point in my life as a Multi-fandom Kpop Fan where I just don’t focus on the numbers. The number of views these artists get on their music videos, the amount of albums they sell during each comeback, and whatever other number that should matter. As important as these numbers are to their careers, I also think what matters most (at least to me) is that they are still able to create beautiful music and release content that puts a smile on my face. I focus less on making records or topping charts with fellow members of my fandoms and more on enjoying what these artists create and appreciate their talent and the strength they have to brave out each tough day that comes their way. I guess it might also root back to the fact that as a Shawol I had to come to terms with the fact that I won’t ever get to hear and see Jonghyun live ever. (Never have, and now never will) Don’t get me wrong, I love seeing them reach such surreal numbers in their careers, but i also learned that at the end of the day, I’m happy to see all these boys (and that one girl I stan as well (Hi Lee Suhyun of AKMU!) perform and love the fact that I’m able to hear and share their music with the world. So, to every fan out there, whether you stan Kpop groups or any other artist in general, let’s take the time to not only help our favorite artists reach the stars but also appreciate the time we have with them. Don’t let the numbers get into our heads and turn us into little demons starting fanwars. Sit back, relax, and enjoy watching these lovely little crackheads we all love entertain us with their charm and serenade us with their music.
I hope i got my point across. Anyway, thank you for reading and hope you had a great day!
