my waifu labs sideblog is getting shuttered

I don’t know if anyone even bothers keeping up with this particular sideblog of mine, but I thought I’d just put this out there in case anyone who follows it wants to know what’s up.

After a little over half a year, I’ve made the decision to delete my sideblog, waifu-labs-oc-finds. For the uninitiated, Waifu Labs is a site that uses AI to generate anime-style portraits. Now, I’ve noticed that AI art in general has seen an increase in... I don’t know, infamy?? I’ve seen claims that it steals art from real-life people to feed into its algorithm and that people have been trying to submit it to sites as actual “art”.

I admit I’ve never actually had any personal experience with AI art being used against me or anything, and I’ve honestly really only used Waifu Labs to generate mockups of what my original characters could look like in anime form. However, considering the growing “distaste” for AI art in general as well as my lack of disinterest in Waifu Labs nowadays, I figured it’d be better for myself to just delete that sideblog entirely instead of letting it just sit there collecting dust.

plus uh i’ve been getting notifications of people following that blog that post lewd content and i uh,,,,,, me no likey >_< if i want to see busty anime badonkadonks i’ll look it up my damn self, i don’t want that stuff just randomly popping up/following me on my feed where i can see it right away

Big Bad Battle for SBURBSim

Me and @peak-of-villainy are having a “design a big bad” contest over on the discord.  Both art and text entries are submitted, deadline is 6/13

All entrants get immortalized in some fashion, and the winners get their Big Bads directly added to the Sim.
