Krokus Ausverkauf

Im September kündigte die einst grösste Rockband der Schweiz ihre Abschiedstour an. Mit dabei ihr letztes Konzert überhaupt in Zürich am 07. Dezember. Grossmundig wurde von Krokus verkündet, dass wenn sie den Stecker ziehen dieser auch endgültig weg ist, steht übrigens immer noch im folgenden Wortlaut auf ihrer Webseite:

„Krokus Shows waren schon immer etwas besonderes und sollen es auch bleiben. Darum haben wir beschlossen, dann aufzuhören, wenn’s noch richtig gut ist. So sollen uns die Fans in Erinnerung behalten. Im Gegensatz zu anderen Truppen die auf ihrer ewigen Abschiedstour sind, werden wir unser Wort halten und am 7 Dez im Hallenstadion den finalen Stecker ziehen und den Jungratten den Rockzauberstab übergeben.“

Wie genau sie es mit dem Stecker ziehen nehmen dürfte mittlerweile bekannt sein. Ganz ernst nehmen kann ich dies ja nicht mehr und habe ich an anderer Stelle schon geschrieben. Frei nach dem Motto, was die Scorpions können, können wir schon lange. Mittlerweile ist es nicht einmal mehr das letzte Konzert in Europa. Obwohl ich da noch ein Auge zudrücken kann, da es sich in England um Nachholkonzerte handelt, aufgrund der Krankheit von Biff Byford von Saxon, deren Support sie machen. Unbestritten leisten Krokus auf ihrer “Abschiedstour” Grosses und ziehen eine 1A Rockshow ab, bis auf die leidigen Coversongs die echt nicht sein müssen.

Jetzt geht mein Mimimi aber noch weiter und ich werfe auch noch das Wort Ausverkauf in den Raum. Obwohl ich vielleicht der Band jetzt Unrecht tue, vielleicht ist es ja auch nur wieder einmal die Idee ihrer Plattenfirma. Vielleicht aber auch, und jetzt kommts, die Idee von Chris von Rohr. Den Krokus bringen am 22. November eine grosse Vinylbox namens Big Eight auf den Markt. Soweit so gut die Box enthält folgende Platten;

Wobei die letztere “neu” ist mit unveröffentlichten Aufnahmen. Und jetzt komme ich zum von Rohr Faktor. Schon aufgefallen, es handelt sich alles nur um Alben bei denen Chris von Rohr am Start war, irgendwie kommen mir da Parallelen zur Soloband Accept in den Sinn. Man nennt die Kiste Big Eight, aber mit Rock The Block fehlt ein Album, welches es in der Schweiz auf die 1 geschafft hat. Wieso? Weil Chris nicht am Start war damals?….Wieso packt man mit Long Stick Goes Boom ein Livealbum in die Box? Ah da spielte ein gewisser Herr mit.

Egal, ich bin ja nur am Motzen ist mir klar. Das Vermächtnis der Band besteht aber nicht nur aus einem Hund der ewig rocken möchte. Bei solch einer Box möchte einen Streifzug durch die Schaffensphase und da gehören für mich auch ein The Blitz oder Change Of Address (beide ohne von Rohr) mit dazu. Die räumten im nachträglich betourten Amerika zu den erfolgreichsten Platten der Band und bescherte der Band Auftritte vor 10’000den von Konzertbesuchern. Man radiert diese Zeit jedoch live als auch in dieser Vermächtnis Box aus. Ganz nebenbei zählte sogar Stampede zu einem meiner Lieblingsalben damals.

So nun aber genug Mimimi, auch ich habe Krokus mal verehrt, wünschte mir aber einen anderen Abgang einer Band, welche die Schweiz auf die internationale Landkarte der Rockmusik gebracht hat. Einer Band die ich mal richtig geliebt habe und zeitlose Klassiker geschrieben hat (mit von Rohr, als auch ohne). Aber dies hier musste ich jetzt doch auch mal loswerden.
