It's redraw time! Always loved this album cover art and given how the song plays on the radio in Fallout New Vegas I redrew it with my Courier 6, Caravan Crane!
meet texas red! this big boy is based off of a red-colored potter wasp from the canary islands, and while potter wasps don’t eat butterflies as adults, i felt it fitting to make red based off of such an insect due to big iron’s butterfly-inspired origins, as these two are on opposite sides of the law!
texas red is a heavyweight, a cross between two unnamed spanish breeds. he’s just barely bigger than big iron, weighing 28-30 tons! his egg was located in a breeding grounds outside of brownsville, texas, where it was then stolen and held by a group of bandits and outlaws. while not this group’s first draconian prize, red was their first heavyweight. and texas red is sure to flaunt this information whenever given the chance! he’s rather smug about his successes, and will constantly brag when engaged with big iron.
he’s companions with a man named james cartwright, more attached to him than anyone else in the group. he goes on solo flights with the outlaw oftentimes, but during planned jobs, red is usually the one to carry the raiding parties in and out. he’s also the one to carry camp supplies and whatnot around when the time to stay low comes about.

his two pals, cincinnati and marengo, are both middleweights! they were given their names, which are based off of some famous horses in history!
cincinnati is a fire-breather, descending from a flecha-del-fuego and american cross, and an american middleweight. cincinnati is very proud of his ability to breathe fire, and more often than not, will volunteer to light campfires at night. he’s a reedy and long fellow, and will coil up between red’s shoulders when given the chance.
marengo is a smaller, more anxious american middleweight. while just as much of a troublemaker as cin, he’s more reserved, and tends to get dragged along during raids, especially with the concept of prizes being involved. with his more anxious disposition, marengo has managed to keep the outlaw-bandit group from doing more risky raids and attacks, allowing them to steer clear of any law.
