TGIF, y'all! :-) Hope everyone had an awesome week. Just wanted to start the weekend off by submitting another headanon made by big-bootyakasha HERE. Which states:

"Raph does that one thing a lot where he’ll just pick her up and throw her over his shoulder because she can’t do a damn thing about it; he gets a kick out of it."

Just picture it happening so much she really starts to enjoy it. Having that cute bae carry you around rather than walking? I'm in.

In other news -- tomorrow is my Birthday! So, in celebration, I am submitting two pictures for you tomorrow. One another tmnt 2012 Raphril comic and tmnt 2014 raphril picture I did awhile ago but thought I'd share tomorrow because I love it so much. Until then, hope you all like this. :-)

Date Night [Raphril]

First ficlet from the rush giveaway a few days ago!!! tumblr user big-bootyakasha requested a something with raphril my favoriteeee so here it is!!! set right before Buried Secrets i guess

also i don't feel like doing a summary this time SORRY

“Come on April, you’re not even trying!”

“Says the one who’s cheating!”

The living room had been turned into a war zone, complete with empty bowls that’d previously held chips and popcorn, scattered pillows used as playful ammo between the two of them, and a menagerie of dvd cases scattered all over the floor and completely abandoned. Neither April or Raphael could stand watching more than one movie in one night, they were people of action and preferred actually doing things as opposed to sitting back for hours on end. If anyone asked, they’d begrudgingly admit to being exiled from the only room of the house that contained a television so the young couple could have a weekly ‘date night’ of sorts. Just a few hours to themselves without any distractions, that’s all they’d asked. It provided some sense of structure for not only Raphael and April, but also for the others, in their chaotic lives. Besides daily training and dinner at seven pm sharp, there was barely any normalcy to be had. But what would you expect from four mutant turtles, a half-human half-kraang teenage girl, and Casey Jones? Nonetheless, in the recent weeks that Raph and April had hesitantly begun kindling their relationship, date night was something looked forward to. And Raphael was using their alone-time to whoop her butt at some twenty-year-old video game they found already inside the console, no nametag to identify it.

She threw down her controller in a grand display of defeat as her character’s health was sapped to its limit, sinking back into the cushions and trying not to look at Raphael’s gloating smirk. Losing wasn’t something April was good at, it never had been, and Raph could bet his shell that there’d be a rematch in the future. But for now she was forced to listen to his triumphant laughter, making a surprised noise in the back of her throat as a green, three fingered hand invaded her personal space and took hold of her face, squishing both her cheeks together while being guided to look at her mutant boyfriend.

“Aw, is someone a sore loser?” He cooed, gently shaking her face side to side mockingly. April tried her best to glare angrily, but apparently it was a lot more amusing and a lot less intimidating, if Raphael’s eruption of giggles was anything to go off of. She felt a twitch of anger inside her chest, but found her pulse increase not with irritation, but with mischief.

Her arms, which had been crossed disdainfully at being defeated at their virtual match, came up to take a firm hold of his much larger hand, dislodging her jaw from Raph’s grip. “Oh, I’ll show you who’s a sore loser.” Her response wasn’t nearly as malicious as what she had in store for him.

She only caught a glimpse of his perplexed expression before launching herself off the couch and bodily assaulting the mutant turtle, her legs straddling his plastron just above the thick leather belt wrapping around his midsection. “Get ready to beg for mercy, Raphie.” The nickname mirrored the mocking tone he’d used on her just moments beforehand, yet he failed to react fast enough as her fingers descended upon his freckled green skin. She heard some kind of sharp intake of breath that stretched her lips into a smile as she began her merciless onslaught, punishing him the only way she knew how: tickling him to his breaking point.

Needless to say, there was a cacophony of screams and howls of laughter that made Leo grimace from his spot on Mikey’s bedroom floor; the two had been playing a board game scavenged from somewhere or another, Mikey was too excited to properly explain where he’d found it, but of course his big brother obliged. And Donatello, at his usual workbench in the barn, paused to cast a bewildered look at the farmhouse, before shrugging and turning back to continue whatever work he’d been focused on. Casey wouldn’t lie if anyone asked whether or not the playful dog howls echoing outside were him, because he’d sure gotten a good laugh out of turning their most likely innocent fun into something dirty on a very regular basis.

Somehow in the midst of their tickle war, they’d both ended up splayed out on the floor, panting and smiling like idiots as they lay amongst the mess once known as the living room floor.

“You’re a real piece of work, O’neil.” Raph commented after a minute or two of silence, rolling onto his side with one arm supporting his head so he could peer down at his messy-haired girlfriend, who was now sprawled out in between him and the couch. She smiled up at him, that same smile that gives him butterflies in his stomach even after countless times of witnessing it.

“Speak for yourself,” she scoffed in retort, eyeing him for maybe a split second before rolling fluidly to her knees, catching Raphael off guard with a hand pushing his carapace firmly, letting her push him back onto his shell without resistance. Her eyes never left his as she lowered her body to drape over his, resting her chin on folded arms to continue gazing up at him through his mask, one finger following the lightning bolt trail of his chipped plastron. She never failed to catch him by surprise by the little things she did, coloring him sheepish under a facade of steely confidence. Raphael found his hardened features would never cease to soften in her presence; he absentmindedly pulled the nearest pillow over to lean against so he wouldn’t miss a second of those beautiful eyelashes, fiery red hair, and mesmerizing blue eyes.

But after a few moments of them silently taking in each other’s appearance, her expression changed, overwhelmed by something else that he knew wasn’t good. Raph felt the itch to ask, but she beat him to the punch.

“No matter what happens in the future, I never want to forget moments like this…”

It was like a rock had settled in his stomach, and Raph’s arms instinctively wrapped around her tightly; protectively. Burrying his face in her hair, their nights together suddenly adorned a whole new meaning to him.

Because sooner or later, there would be another battle to fight, and the icy hand of fear gripped his heart tighter than ever. For once in his life he wasn’t just afraid of losing his brothers to his enemies, but something, someone, much more precious.

Thank you for your explanation on Chinatown Ghost Story- I literally had no clue about all of the references from Big Trouble in Little China and didn't get the episode at all until I read your post, and now it makes total sense !

I kept seeing all these negative comments about how stupid the episode was and I realized people had no idea the episode was inspired by “Big Trouble in Little China”. I thought the writers did a great job! The movie is totally cheezy, and very 80s, but it’s a fun movie when not taken seriously. Ghost Story made me smile b/c there were SO MANY references to the movie, like “it’s all in the reflexes”…even the background music is the same! Hell, Ho Chan even has the same mannerisms as Lo Pan, it was eerie! 

I recommend seeing the movie, it’s sometimes on cable, just so you can appreciate the references more.

raphril- their first fight please oh god

"If you think I'm letting you tag along on a mission this dangerous, then you're insane, sister." While Raph knows fully well that April's capable of handling herself with three years of training under her belt now, her getting injured is too much of a risk for him to take.

Her tone is filled with venom when she clenches her fists, and says, "Well then it's a good thing that you don't run my life because I'm going--whether you like it or not."
