The weekend was finally here and Leia had been allowed, along with the other students in UA to go visit their families if they had wished. She definitely took the opportunity to go visit her grandparents, mostly for her grandmother whom she misses terribly.
Sure they spoke over the phone to one another practically everyday or video chatted, but it still wasn’t quite the same as being physically there with her grandmother. It definitely helped her not feel quite as home sick after moving to the dorms, it was still nice to physically see her.
Humming lowly she opened and closed the front gate behind herself before walking up to the front door. The flower bushes around the small front yard were blooming beautifully as always.
She paused to carefully take a closer look at the flowers and smiled softly. “You all look beautiful as always.” Even if she couldn’t hear their response she knew they still appreciated being spoken too. Her grandmother was the one to tell her that since she has a plant quirk where she can speak to and understand plants.
She started humming to herself again as she walked up to the door and went to unlock it with her key, but found it was already unlocked.
Strange... usually it’s locked. Maybe her grandmother forgotten to lock it behind herself after checking on the flowers outside? No... that can’t be it....maybe she was coming right back after needing to get some more water? It is something she has done before.
Furrowing her brows slightly, she slowly opened the door and stepped inside while gently closing the door behind herself.
Once inside she spotted all of the blooming flowers in the entryway all facing the doorway. Now that was unusual as they tended to be facing many different directions to catch all of the sources of light.
"Grandma...?” Leia called out while setting her bag down so she could take her shoes off before walking in further into the house. But she never ended up taking them off after hearing a loud thud from what sounded like the living room.
This made her heart skip a beat before rushing immediately inside thinking her grandmother might have fallen, though she was hoping she had accidentally dropped something instead.
It didn’t take her long to find the source of the noise, her grandmother was on the floor beside the large glass sliding door that lead to the backyard.
“Grandma...!” Leia quickly rushed to her side to make sure she was alright and not hurt. Gently turning her onto her back slowly, not wanting to accidentally hurt her more than she might already be. Giving her a quick once over after she was on her back. She didn’t appear to be hurt, that’s a relief... but she wasn’t responding to her voice.
What had happened? Was she not feeling and fainted? Or did she end up tripping after coming from outside as the back door was still open?
"Looks like I found you~!” A man’s voice gleefully rang out, making Leia jump startled and quickly turn around to find the much taller man standing in the doorway. The first thing she noticed was the large cheshire cat like grin on his lips before the deep scar over the left side of his face. Which appeared to hold a prosthetic eye.
He had his arms crossed making him look even muscular than he already was, just who was he...? Why was he looking for her?
“What do you mean... found me?” Leia asked a bit confused, standing up and turning to face him properly. Slowly moving into a defensive stance and trying not to make it too obvious on what she was doing. She needed to stay calm and also protect her grandmother who was just behind her on the floor.
“We going to do this the easy way, or the hard way?” The larger muscular man spoke, moving his head from side to side to crack it loudly. By the way he was speaking it sounded as if he hoped it wouldn’t be easy.
“Depends....” Leia spoke lowly, trying to figure out the best course of action to take. She needed to protect her grandmother from getting injured and also try and coax the larger man outside of the house. Who knows what sort of a quirk he has and the last thing she wanted was the house to get destroyed in the process.
“What do you want from me...?” She might as well cut to the chase to find out why he was here, if he’ll tell her that is.
The larger man seemed to smirk at her question and unfolded his arms and held them out at his sides. Almost looking as if he was either looking for a hug or to show off his muscular arms. “You’re his most PRECIOUS person that’s why~” He half sang with glee while grinning once again and without warning he rushed towards her.
His most precious person...? What-Who is he talking about? No... No! This was no time to think about that she needed to get him away from the house and her grandmother.
Leia knew charging back towards him was a bad idea, but her grandmother was directly in his path and she needed to keep her safe.
Since he was so much taller than herself she was able to slide between his legs without a problem. This thankfully made him stop in his tracks and quickly whirl himself around to face her again. At least her grandmother wouldn’t get trampled on, at least as of right of this minute.
“Oooh! This is going to be the hard way!” He laughed loudly, sounding too pleased about this and Leia had just turned around in time to catch his cheshire cat like grin once again.
“Come’re little rabbit!” He lounged towards her and missed once again, but this time punching a large hole into the floor.
Leia just managed to back flip out of the way at least twice before she almost hit a wall. Her eyes went wide upon seeing the damage that he had just done to the floor, if he had hit her...!
His whole body seemed to be now covered in a thick protective coating of... muscle? Was that his quirk? Was he able to manipulate his muscle?
Wait a minute....! Izuku had told her about a man who had a muscle augmentation quirk who had attacked him at the joint forest training their two classes had. But wasn’t he taken into police custody? Why was he here and-
The man grumbled to himself, shaking his hand slightly to get rid of the bits of wood on his hand. Glancing back at her and smirked noticing her wide and fearful eyes. This was exactly what he had wanted and he charged towards her without warning hoping to catch her off guard.
Leia let out a surprised yelp like sound as he rushed in to grab her by her throat, this time he almost succeeded. But his hand went through the wall this time as she was just able to slide down and out of harms way before he could touch her.
“Slippery little rabbit!” He exclaimed, sounding angry but also a bit pleased by her not going down too quickly. Turning to pull his arm out of the wall and taking a large chunk with it and flicking his arm to get the remaining bits off. Which landed in the kitchen and away from where her grandmother was in the living room.
Leia was terrified more than she wanted to admit as she bolted towards the front door, this man was terrifying! But she needed-no, she HAD to stay calm and get him out of the house and away from her grandmother.
Grabbing her phone to call for help didn’t even cross her mind as she was just focused on getting him outside. Plus would she even have time to even unlock her phone to call?
“Not so fast!” The man’s voice boomed, alerting her to glance behind herself and seeing him throwing the couch towards her. With his added strength he was able to throw it much faster than she could run. Thanks to his yell she was able to duck quickly to avoid getting hit with it and it ended up blocking the hallway with it. Taking out her escape route at the same time.
Oh no...!
Leia jumped back up to her feet and was immediately cornered by the larger much muscular man. He was looming over her with that chesire grin again, looking all too pleased with catching his prey.
“No where else to run, little rabbit.” He eyed her as if daring her to try.
Her heart raced as she tried to think quickly on what to do next, he’d probably expect her to go between his legs again. She doubted he’d fall for the same thing twice.
“I’m not going down that easily!” Leia yelled out, surprising herself a bit in the process. Where this sudden burst of bravery came from she wasn’t sure, It seemed to surprise the much bigger man as well giving her the chance to move her leg up and kick him right in the groin as hard as she could.
The man hissed at the sudden impact and hunched forward slightly, moving an arm towards himself.
This was her chance! He left an opening just big enough for her to slip past him by moving his much larger arm towards himself.
Leia just slipped past him and before she could get a foot away from him, a large hand suddenly grabbed her arm. Making her cry out at the pain as he squeezed it so tightly she thought he might’ve broken her arm in the process.
She ended up going limp for a moment at how strong his quirk was making itself known to her own. Half of her body went numb at how intense it was, giving him the chance to lift her up and off the floor so they were now eye level.
“Caught you!” He spoke quite pleased with himself. “Hmmm maybe I over did it with grabbing you.” He half mumbled to himself, but not really removing any of the strength in his hand against her arm.
Leia winced as she was lifted and just barely caught what he was saying as she slowly became less numb feeling. Sort of... her arm still was in a lot of pain and feeling numb, but that was more towards his grip than from coming in contact with him.
What was she going to do now? She had no way of escaping-Wait! Overload! Her super move might be able to stop him in his tracks! He had grabbed her so she could do so, she needed physical contact with someone else in order to use her quirk on theirs.
“L-Let...go of me...!” Leia just managed to say just before using her quirk on him. Specifically her super move, hoping it’ll stop him dead in his tracks so she could escape. Her right blue eye glowing brightly as her only tell she was using her quirk.
The larger man’s eye went wide and he took a step back, but he didn’t let her go. His hold was slowly loosening on her arm and eventually he dropped her onto the floor. His extra coat of muscle slowly disappearing off of his body making him extremely confused as he took another two steps backwards.
Leia winced once hitting the floor and was thankful she landed on her feet and not her arm which she was worried might be broken. She did almost fall to her side but managed to catch herself and stay balanced.
“WHAT DID YOU DO!?!” He yelled out angrily, staring down at his hand a moment as his quirk wasn’t obeying him. Then turning his focus back to Leia who was kneeling down on the floor.
Why wasn’t he going down...? Everyone she’s used overload on has fallen down onto a knee and were extremely exhausted. Did she not manage to use it properly? No, no she used it like she always has but why?
He stormed over towards her, he did seem a bit sluggish as he walked so that did tell her it had actually worked. Except he was still able to move, that made him terrifying all over again.
Leia stumbled slightly but was able to walk backwards away from him, holding her arm while glancing around for a chance to escape. She spotted her grandmother looking as if she might be waking up to her right.
“Leave now or I’ll do it again!” It was a bluff, she didn’t have enough energy to use her quirk again. She was already having a hard enough time standing and hoped it wasn’t noticeable.
He paused, eyeing her a few moments looking as if he was possibly believing her. Least until he slowly started to grin while he stomped over to her and grabbed her roughly by her neck. Slamming her into the nearby wall, making a low dent into it and getting a low whimper from her. “Doubt it, little rabbit. You look exhausted and play time is over.” His cheshire like grin came back as he knew that he won. “I got bigger plans for you to get back at him. So don’t worry, I won’t kill you... yet.”
Leia moved her hands to his wrist trying to free herself, even though she knew it was useless. Who was he talking about? Who was he trying to get revenge on- Suddenly it dawned on her, Izuku! He meant Izuku! He somehow figured out the pair of them were close friends and he was going to use her against him.
Her eyes were slowly welling up with tears, it was a mixture of the pain and being frustrated with herself as she was going to be used against Izuku.
Why wasn’t she stronger?!
“Time to go, little rabbit.” The man hummed, still pleased with himself and hosted her up and over his shoulder and leaving out the back door. Stepping over her grandmother as he did.
She really was useless, wasn’t she...? She really was a burden to everyone like her grandfather always said. She wasn’t able to fend off this villain and now Izuku was going to get hurt because of her, she didn’t want him to be in danger due to her being so weak.
The only upside to everything was the fact she managed to make sure her grandmother didn’t get seriously injured.
Slowly her vision darkened and she reached out with her uninjured arm, almost expecting someone to take it and save her. It of course never happened and she finally passed out from the pain and exhaustion.
