“I’m still trying to wrap my mind around how fast you are!
You guys are like a different breed!”
Vampire Diaries RP
The last 3 days have been the most awkward of my life. Three days ago, I had arrived to my new home with my dad in Mystic Falls. My father was the opposite of my parents who had brought me up. I was raised in a proper Christian home where God’s version of right and wrong was barked in my ears daily by the man who was sexually abusing me during my mother’s nightly shifts at the hospital. Anyway, I have decided to live with the man who is biologically related to me. All he has done since I arrived was smoke pot, swear, and comment on every female at the grocery store. I quickly realized why my mother did not stay with him when he got her pregnant, and why this town seemed to alienate him.
Now, I am finishing up getting ready for my first day at my new high school. Luckily it was the first day of the school year, so I didn’t have to begin halfway through a semester. But still. Everyone here knew each other. And I didn’t know anyone. How nerve wracking. I’ve always been kind of quiet and reserved. So making a new social circle for myself my senior year wasn’t ideal.
I grab a granola bar and head out. It’s a quick walk to the high school. But as soon as I step off my porch, my feet are surrounded with a weird misty fog. An unsettling feeling fills my stomach as a crow perches itself on my dad’s truck and stares at me.
“Gosh, Rose. It’s only fog,” I mutter out loud to myself as I shuffle down my driveway and down the street towards the school.
Just when I think I’ve ridden myself of that uneasy feeling in my gut, I approach the front entrance of the school, all eyes on me. I want to die. And I can’t help but feel I am being particularly watched by someone unseen..
After drinking some coffee and having something quick to eat, to keep her energy up during the long shift ahead of her. Walking to work had its advantages it being peaceful for Katerina calming her nerves before heading into the bar. Where most customers were rude and drunk guys hit on her regularly hoping to get her into their bed. The outfit she was wearing was black jeans with light brown boots going up to her knees, paired with a light gray v neck long shirt and a black peacoat jacket.
Her long waist length silky black hair blew back in the wind behind her. The air being a bit chilly which is to be expected as it is the middle of fall. After ten minutes of walking she made it to the bar opening the door she walked in heading towards the back to get ready for her shift. Clocking in she went right to work making drinks for the patrons at the bar. All night she has been dodging all attempts for anyone to touch her in fear of them experiencing her gift. Having no idea how or when exactly she got her gift, all she knew is that ever since she was a child it’s been there.
