Installing MineWhat on a BigCommerce store
You can add MineWhat directly onto your Bigcommerce store. To complete the installation, you will need access to your store’s admin panel and a MineWhat account.
Step 1: Setting up your MineWhat account
On the signup screen, you will see a list of platform options listed, choose the “Bigcommerce” option.
Once you do so the app will attempt to connect to your bigcommerce account, authorize the connection.
You will then have to set a password for your account.
Alternatively you can also install the MineWhat plugin from your bigcommerce admin screen as well. If you do so, you will be redirected to the password screen at the end of that.
Login to your store admin panel, click on apps here and search for MineWhat. Once you find the plugin, click on it and then click on install. Confirm the installation. Step 2: Adding the MineWhat script tag to your site.
Once you have logged in, you will be redirected to the integration wizard. Navigate to the “Install Script” section.
Verify the details listed on the page and then copy the script you see in the next section.
Go back to your Bigcommerce admin panel and navigate to the code editor section of your store. Click on design on the top right and then click on edit HTMl/CSS.
Look for the footer.html and paste the minewhat script at the bottom of the file hit save and you are done.
Step 3: Connecting your Google Analytics account
After setting up your the major steps of the installation are complete. In addition to these there are a couple of optional steps, which will enable us to add extra value to your account. The first one of these is to connect your GA account to MineWhat. To do so….
Simply click on the the “Connect GA” button, allow access, choose the right profile and you are done. You can also choose to do this step later.
Step 4: Importing the product feed
In addition to clickstream and transactional data from your website, MineWhat also collects product related information like name, brands, tags etc...and connect the two. To ensure this goes on seamlessly we recommend clients to upload a product feed.
For customers on Bigcommerce, MineWhat can automatically import a product feed. You will see something like the image below on the screen.
Once you have verified the different fields available in the feed, you can click on the next button to review and complete the installation.
