Your Forma Episode 10 Review - The Nightmare Returns

Having the previous episode be about Sozon’s tragic death at the hands of a serial killer would naturally mean that the next case will be about it. Even after two and a half years, Sozon’s death still lingers about like an aftertaste you tend to remember after a while. Darya and Sozon’s brother Nikolai are slowly moving on while Sozon’s mother Elena’s health is getting worse. On top of that, Elena blames Harold for what happened that day. Her hatred for him is both unfair and justified. It’s unfair because Harold couldn’t do anything as he was tied up and powerless to stop it from happening, but it’s also justified because of how humans look down on Amicus. Her hysterical behavior sort of shows that she probably didn’t trust them and Harold hits the final nail on the hammer.

Now with the Nightmare returning after so long, it makes me wonder if it could be someone in the police force because why stay silent after so long and reappear after killing a detective? All that was shown from the killer in the previous episode was that he had orange eyes, but whether it be a naturally brown color that looks orange due to lighting or not is still unknown. Usually, in cases where new characters are introduced, it’s usually the new characters that are the culprit or have involvement with them. Like with Raissa, she was the culprit behind the E case and she was newly introduced. I know it’s weird to pinpoint who the killer is when it just started, but why can’t I help but to think that it could be Ivan? Either him or Shubin because it’s either the one who expect or least expect—in my case, I pick Ivan because he’s the one you’d least expect to be the murderer and Shubin looks like the obvious choice given that he has brown eyes too. Oh, but what if they pull a twist that it’s actually Napolov? If that were to happen…well…I’m gonna flip because that’s way too cliche.

It’s still pretty crazy to read a story where deepfakes are used as part of a crime. With how deepfake and AI crimes are slowly on the rise in recent times, it makes me wonder if it’ll be a common thing in the future. On top of that, this episode also reveals that there is a canon human and Amicus couple in the form of the Devero CEO Shushunova and her life partner Bernard, who is a male Amicus created specifically for her. I get that it’s hinting that this could happen to Echika and Harold in the future, but it could also happen in reality some day…

I wonder how old Bigga is because she is now working as a consultant for the CID and she looks to be younger than Echika who is twenty. She also seems to have a schoolgirl crush on Harold as she gave him a scarf that matches his eyes and also blushed when she saw the Shushunova and her husband kiss.

Still, it’s a little strange that the killer’s first victim after reappearing is an Amicus. The way he was killed is the same as it was years ago, yet something feels off… Let me know your thoughts on this episode!

Your Forma Episode 6 Review - Chasing E

This episode dives deeper into the mysteries of E. It turns out that Bigga’s father Danel is a missionary of it and distributes medicine behind the scenes. Bigga does catch him in the act. It’s crazy how much of a terrible father he is by putting his own daughter in a chokehold after he was surrounded by the CID. Is this why he’s voiced by Tetsu Inada?

It turns out that there could be a mole for E in the CID as they know secrets about Totoki and Hieda that no outsider would have access to. I’m guessing Raissa because she’s newly introduced and French. There’s also that one instance in the episode where Luddites push her off a slope and she injured her leg as a result. Her explaining her backstory about how her brother used to be a cyber-inspector but couldn’t really make it due to having the qualifications for the job but not the talent to keep going. I guess that she became a cyber-inspector to get back at the people who caused her brother harm?

But yeah, overall, cat lovers should avoid this anime because that ending where Totoki’s apartment got bombed with the cat inside is just insanity. Will the cat be alright or is it dead for good? Find out next episode; also, let me know your thoughts!
