Take A Look Inside The Largest Cave In The World
Son Doong Cave in Vietnam was discovered by a local man in 1991, however it didn't become internationally known until 2009 after a British group of scientists surveyed it.
At its largest it is 5km long, 200 meters high and 15m meters wide! You can take an expedition to the cave for $3000.
It's amazing something this big was hidden for so long
Hang Sơn Đoòng was found by a local man named Hồ-Khanh in 1991. The local jungle men were afraid of the cave for the whistling sound it makes from the underground river. It was not until 2009 that it became public after a group of British scientists from the British Cave Research Association, led by Howard and Deb Limbert, conducted a survey in Phong Nha-Kẻ Bàng from April 10 through April 14, 2009.
