Red has always been a big guy, huge even. Even when he was a kid his belly was round and chubby, and he could throw his weight around with the schoolyard bullies like it was nothing. But as he kept growing he just get getting bigger and bigger. He was just big. Six feet, two inches, and a hundred and twenty plus pounds of fat and muscle kind of big.His hands were large enough to cover the face of most monsters, and his shoulders broad enough to contest even the kings wide build. His feet were big enough he had to custom make his sneakers, and the sound of him stomping around was hard to miss.If anyone were to tell you at anypoint in his life Red had been small they’d be a liar. Even his brother, the great and terrible Fell, struggled to heft Red around when he was well and truly not in the mood to be moved, even when he was at his smallest. He was the kind of skeleton to always have his magic on over his thick bones, and if anyone were to ask him why he’d tell you it was because he was huge, and he liked it that way.Red was the peak of self confidence when it came to his body. You could tell Red his personality was lacking, his jokes unfunny, or his attitude shitty and he would probably even agree with you. But if you ever told Red his body was lacking or ugly he’d turn to you with enough heft to jiggle his large belly, puff out his chest, cross his arms, and tell you how you wouldn’t know a perfect body if it was right in front of your face.And the scars? It was, to Red, another reminder of how strong his being was. Maybe he was missing a tooth here, a sliver of bone there, but for a monster with as little Hope as him? He’d survived a lot. He took a risk piercing his tongue, he wasn’t sure if it could of killed him or not, but he did it anyways. And Fell? Damn was he pissed at him for that one.But if Red was anything he was a stubborn bastard. Black eyes, broken bones, and knife wounds might of taken him down harder then he ever liked, but he never lost a fight in his goddamn life if he had anything to say about it. And he sure had a hell of a lot to say about it.Red was a lot of things, a lot of bad things, a lot of miserable things, and there were a lot of things he hates about himself, a lot of things he wished he could change or take away. But if there was one thing that he would never change, that would always remained true, it would be the fact that Red was a giant, and he preferred it that way.
