CARMILLA AND KIRSCH BROTP. Kirsch was ridiculously intimated by Carmilla in high school. He thought she was terrifying and could kill him. But then one night, when Carmilla has broken down over Laura after drinking way too much, he's holding her and he realises how /small/ she is. Her tough facade and the way she carried herself in high school made her seem much bigger. In that moment, while her frame is wracking with heartbreaking sobs, he sees the little girl who just wanted to be loved.

and that's the first time carmilla lets herself cry over laura and kirsch doesn't know what to do at first bc ???? she feels things????? but she's a drunk, blubbering mess and she wants laura and kirsch knows he can't give that to her and he knows the hugs help when he's feeling bad so he just wraps his arms around her and initially, she freezes and stiffens in his arms but after a moment, she melts into him and cries into his shoulder.
