Bight of the Twin Fundraiser
On Sunday, November 23rd, head down to The Complex, donate $10 and hear some amazing industrial, techno, and noise plus see a priestess perform live and all in the name of a great artistic project. Hazel Hill McCarthy III and the legendary Genesis Breyer P-Orridge have been developing a film about Genesis' travels to Ouidah, Benin in search of the truths and origins of Vodun (voodoo).
Vodun is one of the world's oldest and most misunderstood religions. The film tracks Genesis' journey as she is serendipitously initiated into the 'Twin Fetish'. I saw both individuals speak at MOCA earlier this year and was blown away by the project and the bits of the film I saw. Would love to see the whole thing come to fruition and get a proper release. This is a great event for a great cause. Support!
