for me personally i just started shipping them years ago because they were both my top favourite characters, i didnt really have a ‘good’ reason lol. to younger me’s knowledge nobody else knew about the pairing! mostly because at least for sonic i wasn’t active in the online fandom ahahahaaaa im glad i found other people who like it now !!
