"Ride" Life is just a ride. #Billhicks 104/500 of #berlinstateofmind About 2013 I started unconsciously a graphic and photographic project. At first I saw it as a vital diary, but in reality it is a tribute to the life and work of all incredible, untiring and hungry for life people I met in #Berlin. The roadside cafe

Eggs and coffee,

and she’s laughing

at the cheese on my lip,

and the strangers sitting so stiffly around us

remind me of caged birds,

and mice that scurry beneath the floorboards

for scraps of bread;

And maybe we are the holy communion

of the lobster and the umbrella

or moonlit onions 

chopped 

for silver tears to set sail on.

The stars still cry out for love,

but you can’t buy anything real,

though kings and thieves

have tried to steal it,

and 

kingdoms

have crumbled

just to catch a glimpse

of eyes

as bright
