For every Billy hater that says that we're desperate to make Billy look like a good guy. You're wrong. He's not a good person and I'm under no delusions that he is.
Hell, most Billy fans don't like him because they think that he's a good person and you'd know that if you actually listened to us. We like him because he's flawed, we like him because he's complex and that's appealing because it's realistic.
So my question for you is: Why are all of you anti's so desperate to make him out to be some murderous villain?
He was just a kid who was broken by his mother's abandonment, his father's cruelty and his own self-isolation.
And y'all may hide your problematic behavior behind the flimsy excuse that Billy isn't a real person, but I see you for the despicable piece of shit y'all really are.
Fictional or not, that dosen't change the fact that Billy has a very real home-life that many people that support his character have (or had) in common with him. As well as some traits, behaviors, and motivations that a lot of people -myself included- not only relate to, but deal with on a daily basis.
Not all trauma survivors are quiet and soft, some survivors come out with jagged edges. They can be rude, defensive, obnoxious, overly-sexual and even violent given the situation. And every single one of these behaviors had been developed as an -admittedly unhealthy- coping mechanism in order to survive a hostile environment.
All I see when you Billy haters post your negative bullshit is your blatant, unchecked willingness to blame the victim just because they came out the other side of a traumatic experience in a way that y'all don't see as socially acceptable.
It's disgusting.
