It’s almost certainly a headcanon thing. I’ve seen no canon information about it. One could argue for “not eating” or “barely eating” because his systems are really efficient or whatever, but one could also argue for “eating a lot” because he expends a lot of energy with his active lifestyle, warping time and space, etc. Add in his weird alien DNA, and it’s really up for interpretation if you ask me. Hedgehogs eat chili dogs, ice cream, etc. and black arms eat humans, but we’ve never seen him eat anything, so...who knows?

Personally, I decide based on what kind of headcanon I’m writing. Because screw consistency, haha.

Headcanon #86 is debunked. This is the new Headcanon #86. Far superior. A+, especially if Amy panics and smashes it with her hammer, and then they never talk about it again and Amy takes him to Tails after all.
