For Bingel, the big Belgian education app I worked on last year, I was asked to come up with a couple more illustrations to go with the newly unlocked areas - the harbour and a new place in the clouds. For the latter we decided on a sort of friendly space whale, that occasionally passes by the island. Maybe the residents can use that moment to tap some energy from the solar panels on its back? I bet it’s collected a lot from all that flying in the warm sun!
I lied! THIS is the final batch of images I'll share of Bingel. Just to show off some things other than backgrounds. I promise though: this is it. ;-) The characters in the final three images are all built with the custom avatar creator. I made a ton of clothing, hairstyies and accessories which the players can combine endlessly. Endlessly! Have a great weekend!

Taking a break from the background illustrations for Bingel and taking a look at the aliens instead! They come in peace! Or do they?... The aliens are tiny green goblins that ride around on freakishly long animals that look like a cross between a gorilla and a crocodile. This leads to some confusion as the island's inhabitants initially think the 'Gorcodiles' are the real overlords. In reality, the aliens have polluted their home and are now stealing resources from other planets. They even have a small vessel that breaks off from the mothership, which they then use to tap the Wonderium from the island's core! The suspense!
