I don’t think there’s really any such thing as a valid Strategist. Not being valid is kind of their whole deal.

The Dispossed is part of a really large interconnected setting but you really don't have to read or understand any of the other books in the setting. It's good on it's own. I don't think it describes a functional anarchist social blueprint, but I also think that Le Guin, an author, does a much better job with, you know, real people and real social problems that an anarchist society might have, rather than the utopian social visionary types who want to sweep human frailty under the rug.
