Althea Mary-Anne Sibley / 32 years / (Witch) Doctor / single
Early Life: She grew up in a small village in Massachusetts as an only child. She always knew about her family’s history and has been introduced to magic since she was little. Althea is a decendant of no one less than the famous Mary Sibley, who use to be the most powerful witch of Salem. The power had been past from generation to generation within the family and each time the next in line took over, they grew it further. Over the years, her family kept a low profile to avoid trouble and nowadays humans don’t believe in magic anymore which helped them keep their secret. If anyone asks about her last name, she usually shruggs it off with a joke. After her mother died when she was 16 years old, Althea was left with the power.
Personal Life:
Althea doesn’t have any close family members left. Only some cousins but they’re not very close. She often feels lonely and tried to fill the void with work. She’s social but with her work load there’s not a lot of time left to go out and have fun. When she does, it can get crazy. Thea has two dogs and two cats and loves them dearly. She came to Beacon Hills hospital thanks to her impeccable repuation as a doctor. They desperately needed doctors after the animal attacks increased and in order to maintain the balance, Althea wants to try to cover up the truth as best as she can. The less they know, the better. She has bought an old farm house which she is planning to rebuild by herself. Of course she could use her magic but she really enjoys remodeling houses and loves to do things the traditional way - no cheating. The same goes for cooking, baking, doing the chores. She’ll only use magic if it’s necessary. She’s always happy to help within reason but beware if you cross her or someone she cares about.
Career: She mastered both light and dark magic but chooses to focus more on the light powers. Thea always wanted to help people and knowledge about medicine seemed to come in handy. Sometimes she has to be careful with the enhancements she’s doing to help her patients but she found a good middle way to maintain the balance. Especially when it’s about kids, she tries to do the right thing. Dark Magic is usually only used on supernaturals and due to her familys past she has a lot of contacts to this world. She often helps to save lives after hunter or supernatural attacks or to delete memories of attacks.
