Oc rambling because im trying to get their writing down.
So. Who is this Liv? She's basically a reworking overhaul of an old megaman NT warrior OC, one of my oldest and unfortunately most broken and badly developed ones. And she could very easily fit in to the digimon verse too.
Now I feel more confident, I'm recycling her idea, and have even given the old character a nod in to her back story.
Liv is a 'necromancer' Net navi who was the result of an experiment. Some less than reputable scientists found an old, unclaimed 'stray' net navi who had some interesting and unusual traits to do with harvesting and ressurrecting deleted data of any kind. However, the navi was old, unstable and broken, so during their experiment they essentially pulled apart and extracted the navi and everything they could salvage, and developed a new navi program with what they discovered and saved from the remains of the old navi.
Liv.exe was born from the results. She is a ghostly, undead class net navi with a more concentrated and better tuned set of abilities from that of her predecessor. She has no knowledge or memories retained from her 'mother program' and is classed as an entirely new entity all together.
However, there have been a few bugs noted.
She highly dislikes using her resurrection powers to bring back sentient data such as stronger viruses and net navis. Liv complains of feeling extremely uncomfortable in performing it that so few occurances have happened to be analysed, much to her researchers annoyance.
Liv escaped to get away from the pushier and gradually more invasive experiments the researchers tried to inflict upon her.
She has the ability to become phantomlike, being able to make herself appear as a floating cloak and demanifesting and manifesting parts of her body as she pleases. A 'full body apparition' seems to use up a lot of her energy, so she tends to appear as an upper torso with floating limbs. She can become completely undetectable in servers and to the naked eye.
Liv is a shy individual to approach and can be hard to find unless stumbled upon accidentally, or she is actively seeking an individual out. She's usually kindly, cheeky and a little bit sassy to those lucky enough to find and converse and has been reported as pleasant. However, her personality seems to split dramatically if she is riled up or forced in to defending herself. The amicable little whisp will turn in to an angry, howling wraith in no time flat if she is endangered, which has caught many off guard who underestimated her upon first appearance.
While it is very unlikely she will willingly use her necromancy ability, she will fight tooth and nail to escape an assailant. Not much is actually known about her overall fighting ability or technique due to her favour of fleeing a fight than finishing it.
She often hides in the undernet, but has a distinct feeling that something is coming after her, and rarely feels safe. Liv has no clue what or who it could be, but is attuned to it through her unwanted ability. This could explain why she is skittish and prefers to move around constantly.
Livs signature necromancy ability holds a lot of value, which is why her rumoured existence has sparked the interest of both authorities as well as a few underground groups. Liv could be used to gather dangerous and classified information, and cause a lot of damage if she fell in to the wrong hands. However, to most she's been passed off as a rumour, or urban legend in the net.
However, there have been whispers that Nebula has been hunting for leads, that has in turn sparked the interest of the net police to find something before they do.
Poor Liv meanwhile just wants to be left alone.
