I'm about to start my third reread of BIOF because i feel left out that i didn't get to read it last holiday season when it was initially published because i decided i didn't wanna read it because calebrity and fake dating AUs aren't my favorite and I also couldn't picture alicent as a TV host of all things. I always pictured her , if she was working in the modern world, to be a lawyer or a surgeon. (While i always pictured Rhaenyra to be nepo baby no matter what career she chooses 😅). Anyway i enjoyed your shapeshifting dragon rhaenyra au and decided to give biof a try, and LOVED it! Loved that Alicent here is doing well in life even before Rhaenyra. But having R in her life made it better and vice versa. Thanks again for subverting expactations

third reread? woah haha thank you a lot for the support you've given biof! i haven't even finished my first one (which is terrible because i'm writing the sequel having forgotten what happens in half of this damn fic haha)

the good news is, you'll be able to experience it as it gets posted this time! a bit after Christmas (and probably not finished until late January) but hopefully the Holidays' mood will still be there by the time i start posting it!

it feels weird to think i posted this fic and the dragon AU over a year ago... and it feels weird to read biof again because i've improved a bit since then and the pacing + writing feels very off to me now😭 it means a lot that so many of you still enjoy it and support it to this day though❤️ this version of Alicent is one i've missed a lot, and it's been really fun to get to write her again!
