“Well, yes, officer, you were the one driving.” He quipped back, but he was already wriggling out the passenger’s side window up to his waist.  He popped his head back in for a minute, “Just hold her steady, I’m gonna get up top and make a jump for it,” Though he was sure Misty would have a thing or two to say about him putting his smelly Kung Fu feet on the roof of her beloved Mustang, he didn’t see too many other options.

“You know, I just don’t remember you making an appointment,” Jessica said, looking down at her desk calendar knowing full well Misty had not in fact made an appointment. “I really don’t get why you don’t just send Colleen to ask for favors for you,” she and Colleen got along just fine. “We don’t have to keep doing this whole song and dance where you don’t even bother to pretend like you don’t hate me, and I sit here and run a pros and cons list on if I’m going to take it today.”

Constantly reading ( and re - reading ) the same two paragraphs of intel for the last half hour hasn’t stopped her either. “I know it as well as you do.”

Sharon also knows it’s so late that it’s gone and flipped over to being EARLY, and somehow Misty’s gone and drawn the SHORT STRAW when it comes to trying to get her to close up for the night and at least entertain the idea she’s going to get any REST.
