You may not recognize this Vivien Leigh film, and thatās because she never made it. Well, at least she didnāt finished it. In 1953, aged 39, she went to Ceylon to begin principal photography in what was about to be her next film, Elephant Walk. Her costars were Dana Andrews and aussie Peter Finch, with whom it was rumored she was having a torrid affair. After shooting on location, they all went back to Hollywood to resume shooting and that's where her mental breakdown made impossible to continue. She was taken home to England by her husband Sir Laurence Olivier for treatment, and was diagnosed with manic depression (now known as bipolar disorder), and thus she was replaced in the role by a very young and also stunningly beautiful Elizabeth Taylor. In fact they were so similar in looks that they kept Leigh's footage on location and you can see her in the distance in long shots in the final movie. Iāve always been obsessed with this movie and what wouldāve been and trying to imagine how she would have looked in it. And so this is an attempt to capture her beautiful mature beauty in something that never really was. This is my special, personal homage to the talented and beautiful Vivien Leigh on her birthday. I dedicate this one to my friend, writer and poet Shiroma Perera-Nathan @peacockblues #vivienleigh #elephantwalk #Ceylon #srilanka #bipolardisoder #oldhollywood #peterfinch #laurenceolivier #AlejandroMogolloArt https://www.instagram.com/p/CklT35Mo7Ij/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
Iāve seen makeup artist do this challenge before in honor of mental health awareness: illustration. This look illustrates #bipolardisoder the heavy highs & depressing lows. Itās striking & bold. Different faces of a person. It sort of reminded me of Harvey Dent/Two Face. The sharp eyeshadow reminds me of shark š¦ fins & the veins remind me of #LunaVachon š she dealt with bipolar disorder too. The Beauty of art is that it speaks for itself & expresses volumes than even mere words canāt describe. š§š¾āšØ #Concealer | @clinique beyond perfecting WN 96 & @juviasplace #Primer | @nyxcosmetics hydratouch oil primer #Bronzer | @mentedcosmetics āyacht lifeā #Brows | @mellowcosmetics pomade shade āChocolateā (click the link in my bio <mellow tag š·> & use #promocode MELLOW15 to get 15% off your items) #Eyeshadow | @glazzi 99 colors eyeshadow & @beautycreations āSeduce Meā palette šØ Veins: @toofaced āBall Busterā & #MagicalHalo Long Lasting lip stain no.10 #Mascara | @bellapierreofficial volumelash waterproof #Eyeliner | @kajal Ultra Strong Waterproofing eyeliner #Highlighter | @toofaced āHow Many F*cks Do I Giveā & @handaiyanbeauty face & body gel ⨠#Lipstain | @toofaced āBall Busterā & āthe Real Tealā #SettingSpray | @urbandecaycosmetics āall nighterā #SettingPowder | @airspunofficial & @maybelline āFit Me: 310ā #mua #makeupartist #glitter #euphoriamakeup #photooftheday #pridemonth #model #mua #pretty #beauty #beautiful #cute #mentalhealth #pride #darkside #art https://www.instagram.com/p/Cem7ZenMhGU/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
