i still think we're being played but either way it's fucking funny
seeing US women's gymnastics and rugby earn spots on the podium today has been WONDERFUL
i think about this often as someone who (now) occasionally reads and writes fic:
the whole conversation around rpf is so interesting, as someone whose first experiences (and most tbh) with fanfic had been rpf. i was honestly shocked when i found out so many people were weirded out by it because it was literally all i knew/wanted out of fanfic. it was a weird form of emotional whiplash.
the concerns are valid and i have a more complicated relationship with it now, but i also don't really care? as long as you're not shoving fanfic of any kind in any real person's face, it doesn't really matter.

....that interview was not much of an interview
i really went into winter break thinking "wow i'm going to write so much" and gave you poor souls basically nothing and i know for a FACT that as soon as classes start next week i'm gonna feel like writing again. :|
tw pet death/euthanasia
just had to euthanize the last of my ratties today. they really do make great little companions.
making the right decision never gets easier, but i know she's at peace now. it was time for her to leave us.
