Sorry I’m a little late and recent woso convert, but can I ask what happened between Brasil and Spain at the Olympics? And that affected Aitana and Cata?

I only ask because I adore them and the fact something happened to affect their performance for Barça suggests it must have been horrible.

oh a lot happened. first you need to watch the highlights to understand how spain melted down. 😬 brasil played their style of football and spain could not cope and were knocked out of the tournament.

as for jenni and aitana, they caught flack as they did not appreciate brasil's dark arts tactics and criticised aspects of the game. and the brasilian fans did not appreciate their words and there were lots of hateful things said towards them. 😵‍💫

and cata spoke in different interviews about how the match affected her and how she worked on her mental health after the olympics. she fractured her nose and had to wear a mask during the tournament, which obviously didn't help matters, but her signature "smoking" move is part of her mental health coping mechanisms:

Kaori - Why did she have to pick this song, why is she doing this to my emotions??? 😭 She's come so far since she was baby!Kaori 8 years ago... Great skate - I'm not sure if she was more nervous than usual or if it was my nerves not letting me pay as much attention. Glad she did so well, though!

Amber - I feel so freaking bad for her, I just want to hug her :((( Yes, I'm mostly rooting for Team Japan and want them to sweep the Podium, but I do really like Amber and Alysa (more as people than as skaters, but still...) - hurts to see her break down like this. Also I do actually love this program :(((

Mone - absolutely lovely! Team Japan sweep in the free, then? (Sorry Alysa, I like you as well, but a Team Japan sweep would be even better...)
