Summary: The birth simulator can’t be that bad
“I’m sure it’s not that bad!” You said as Caspar continued to take deep breaths 5 minutes after Joe had unhooked him from the ‘birth simulator’.
“Don’t talk about what you don’t know Y/N” Conor said behind you.
You were in Joes apartment hanging out with the Buttercream squad when Joe had decided it was time for Caspar to experience ‘birth’. Of course, all of you had stayed to watch Caspar suffer and laughed until you cried. But by the end of the video you had to admit that the questions were fairly simple and the ‘birth simulator’ didn’t seem that awful.
“Fine hook me up then.” You said, turning to Joe, and you heard the others chuckle behind you. “I’m serious, this thing goes to 8 and none of you lasted past 3 without screaming,” you looked at Conor, Mikey, Jack and Caspar “I want to see if it’s really that painful.”
“This will be fun!” You heard Josh whisper to Oli, as the others looked at each other.
After Joe had hooked you up to the simulator you laid on the bed, a bunch of pillows behind you. “Alright Y/N I’m gonna turn it on, see if it works.” Joe said calmly.
It was a strange but weirdly familiar feeling when Joe turned the simulator on, and after a few seconds you could pin point exactly why. “It feels like...” you trailed of trying to find the words to describe the feeling, “like when you know you’re getting your period tomorrow.” The boys just stared at you in confusion.
“That’s what it feels to get your period?” Mikey asked mortified.
“Yeah, well for me at least, different girls experience different things. For me my tummy feels tight and kinda crampy and I just know.” You answered.
“Alright, let’s go to 2” Joe said.
You tensed a little at the sudden feeling but quickly got over it. “Turn it up to 3?” you asked and Joe obliged. “Okay that’s what normal period cramps feel like.” You told the boys who were all looking at you in awe, by that point all the boys who’d experienced the simulator where screaming and yet you hadn’t even made a sound. “Turn it up to 5.” You continued now looking at Joe.
For the first time, you let out a groan. “And this is what the most painful cramps feel like.”
You saw them looking around wide eyed. “God!” you heard Mikey whispered, as Josh stepped forward.
“So you go through that every month?” He questioned.
“Well not every month. It depends on a lot of things, sometimes I may not have cramps at all and sometimes they will hurt so much I can’t get up.” You answered.
Since you were distracted Joe took the opportunity and turned the simulator up to 6, which caused you to let out a surprised scream and you turned to him just in time to see him turning it to 7. You let out a painful groan, cursing under your breath.
“Now that hurts!” You said, hearing the boys laugh at your comment. “Ok let’s go to 8.”
Joe laughed turning the simulator to 8. You groaned, taking deep breaths, until finally Joe turned it off. Letting out a breath you sat up looking at the boys who were looking at you in awe.
Josh was the first to speak. “I’m never making fun of girls again!”
Jack nodded, “I gotta call Anna and apologies for saying periods aren’t that bad.”
In the meantime, Joe had unhooked you so you stood up laughing. “Like that art teacher had said on Tumblr ‘When someone tells you to grow a pair, they mean ovaries!’. And remember, you guys went through that once, I want at least 2 kids.”
Their jaws dropped at the thought of going through that again willingly and you started laughing again.
Mikey praying had me in stitches 😂 He looks like he’s actually given birth 😅😢
