I decided to take a leap, spend the money, skip work, and make the drive down to Lansing for the Maternal Infant Health Summit. It was my first conference experience, and all the amazing speakers and presenters gave me a lot to think about and aspire to. I feel very blessed to have a partner who was willing and able to drop everything to drive down with me and keep Ophelia during the conference for me. I've never felt more supported, championed, or cherished. I'm hopeful, and feeling inspired to go out and empower women and birthing parents and support them and their families.
