My I suppose sister in law is having her baby today! Kind of jealous as she was due 9 days after me, but she really needed to get the baby out. She has had severe morning sickness the whole pregnancy, had to go to the hospital at least once a fortnight for fluids from throwing up so much during this whole pregnancy! So really I get why they are inducing her, I am surprised it actually took them so long to even start talking about it. She was miserable, poor thing. Anyway! Yesterday morning at 5am they were back at the hospital for more fluids, and they finally gave her the option to be induced and she said yes, she was given the gel yesterday and today they broke her waters. She has just been given the epidural so still a bit to go, they wouldn't have given it to her if bub was too close. There will be a new addition to the family by the end of the day by sounds of things! I'm excited, but jealous! Want my baby! Haha. I also can't talk about this in Facebook as she wanted it kept quiet which I can totally understand. Let them do the announcement when they are ready. Can't wait to meet this little guy!
Angsty Rant(ish)
I love how all the equestrian blogs that I actively follow and love are like "omg, I hate this (really cool thing) I went to." or "I don't compete enough, maybe 2 or 3 times a month" or "My pon has gone such a long way and I did such and such but they're still not doing this and we have a long way to go", etc. and I'm just sitting over here doing only 4 or 5 competitions A YEAR without a horse of my own and riding a horse who is known to bite and barely knows her leads or how to move into the bit (for the shows) and just barely managing to beg my parent's to take me out for one lesson a week or to head to the tack shop 30 minutes away to dreamily stare at all the saddlepads and wraps and saddles and bonnets that I can't buy and use cause I don't have my own horse. Maybe this is just jealousy on my part, and yeah, I'm kinda "green with envy" and we're all allowed to complain about things from time to time- but just please realize that not everyone is as lucky as you. Enjoy the amazing horses you own and look towards the positive in everything- it makes it easier for the rest of us nobodies :)
Mums at day on the green watching Sarah blasko , while I'm at home studying , mum doesn't even know any of her songs!
