“This is the hand-drawn sketch that sparked BIT RAT's development three long years ago. Though the game's aesthetic and feel have gone through about a hundred iterations since then, the (almost) final product still has a lot in common with the simple, blocky shapes and colors of our analog prototype. Sometimes it feels like everything the game has ever been, or will be, is locked away in this drawing, already fully formed, waiting patiently for us to bumble through the development process and rediscover the clarity of our original vision.”
