A bit of baking today to try a out a new “old” find (at the rummage sale a few weeks back). Bookclub Sunday today. Attempted two variations on a “log theme” from this months selection; Richard Powers, The Overstory. The first was sweet take on a carrot cake “log or swiss tool” with cream cheese frosting and meringue mushrooms. Note: Frosting is not chocolate just brown.
