Imagine, a gacha machine in a bitty supply store, full of the unwanted runts or babies that didn't sell fast enough

you enter some money and out comes a new toy, a little skeleton thing that is a little bumped and dizzy from its journey out the machine, you crack open the ball and instantly bond with it because its just so happy to be out!

Little berries cheering when one gets selected like the toy story aliens, little sharp honeys who don't talk much/at all smiling up nervously at you, sharp lankies who growl and scowl and refuse to make eye contact, but secretly would do anything for you.

if a ball of nothing but dust comes out, just talk to the shopkeep and they'll give you a new coin to use, "Sorry, we cleaned it out last night but a couple were looking kinda sad..."

getting a little bitty who just started their first heat and instantly want you to care for them, but if you break it you don't get a new one, so just hold it so it cant move, out far away from you until you can put it in a carrier.

getting one and putting the ball on a chain, bittybones necklace, and they're cheap, so just get a new one when it dies.

Imagine a bittybones so small they fit in the palm of your hand

look up at you in wonder and adoration every time you hold them

no matter how many times you insult them they just keep adoring you because you're so big to them

it's easy to care for them because they barely eat anything, and they love you so much

but you think they're creepy

sockets too big for their little head

magic wonky and discolored, an off blue grey

crooked teeth and spine

they came out wrong, and you got them cheap

the runt of the litter, barely grew at all, and their appetite is so small they never put on any weight

they're easy to pinch and prod

to poke with sharp things and watch squirm

they're so defenseless, they don't even know that what you're doing is wrong

because their mom and siblings barely noticed them, crawled all over and trampled them

so that must be love, right?

hiii!! ive read your fic and its extremely good!! love it very much, super happy to see ppl still interested in bitty whump lol But i have a question, im asking mostly bc im curious ^_^, youve mentioned the "forever-baby" thing in your posts and stories and im curious as to what that means exactly? like, for example, is Baby (from your fic) a bittybones baby that will literally never grow up? is it stuck in an eternal childhood to keep it "cute" and "innocent" its entire life? if thats the case, could you tell us more about it? :0 or does the phrase refer more to the fact that Blueberry Bitties act like spoiled babies even if they reach bitty adulthood?

I'm using the "forever-baby" bitties sold by the yet unnamed Brand to play on that cute and innocent bitty trope, how they're sometimes written somewhere between animals and toddlers, and sometimes as fully grown adults who should have rights but very much do not.

Basically, the Brand Name Bitties you would get from official licensed sellers have their growth stunted, keeping them dependent on their owners and, more importantly, unable to mature and reproduce.

Wouldn't want the public to go thinking these things were actually alive, now, would we? Then they might start having questions like "were did they come from?" and "are they people?" and that's bad for business.

That's why some of my stories feature Bitties with full personalities and thoughts, and others as bumbling toddlers.

Baby in particular is a special case, and it's story will clarify these things even more once I get to that point!

Do you have any thoughts about ways to torment Edgy bitties? I really hate them and enjoy reading about them having a bad time.

ALSO! The way bitties work in my fics/universe is slightly different than others, I'll make a master post explaining that soon actually...

As classified by the BurningPile world, Edgies are sharp shorty types, so basically "fell sans" bitties, but the company doesn't want people to know that the bitties are just clones of other monsters.

Sharp types, are... well, sharp, so first things first you gotta fix that. Especially if the little thing can't get it through its thick skull that NO BITING MEANS NO BITING

there are several options for this, a metal file, though you have to deal with the screaming, can do a great job. If you need a quieter option, tying them up, binding their claws and mouth shut, is a good choice.

Then you can display them somewhere, let them sit in pain or motionless until you feel like you're done with them, give them to an actual pet as a toy, really the list is endless.

another option if you want them to stay sharp is to tie them up and use them as a breeder for softer types. The kids should be way less sharp and annoying, plus I've heard they smell great when they're pregnant. tie them up while the babies are in the oven and use them as air fresheners! You can sell the babies too for cash, mixed breeds are rare!

If you've already formed a soulbond with your Sharp type bittybones, consider using it against it! Stay away for the exact short enough amount of time for it to suffer but not die, then come in all lovey dovey before laughing and throwing it down! To death or to start the cycle again, Your choice!

considering making my icon on here and ao3 that i just threw together just to have one into a self insert/oc...

Imagining it being very strong for a bitty and not at all friendly to other bitties, especially bittybones... very possessive of its owner and maybe even killing its babies if the owner tries to breed it because it got jealous of the attention...

I enjoyed the chapters of your story that are up so far. I feel like the owner will probably get irritated with "Baby" pretty quickly, though. It seems like the relationship is completely one-sided, and she doesn't get anything out of caring for it except abusive language. It's all take and no give, which is such an unhealthy dynamic.

It's absolutely not healthy, which makes what's coming make more sense than if it was really a perfect baby. I was tempted to make it a perfect situation (besides the whole problematic forever-baby thing) but decided to lean into the spoiled berry/baby blue trope used in these kinds of stories.

Tw bitty death, vague sh, spoiled bitty

Thinking about a bitty who's owner treats them like a human child, except this one can never grow up. One day they ask for a pet...

The bitty doesn't know how to care for another bitty, of course, but their owner says it's their responsibility. If the bitty's bitty dies, the owner quietly replaces it when the bitty is asleep. So many baby bittties die and the bitty never learns.

They get almost no supervision most days, because the owner thinks they'll entertain themselves, they have the pet for a reason, right?

maybe the bitty starts experimenting, because whenever their pet gets hurt, they get better the next day! Maybe all bitties are the same way?

so the bitty hurts itself to test it...

but the owner can't tell them apart... so the original bitty gets replaced.

crushed in the trash calling out for mommy, daddy, anyone, my pet my baby please help!!

and the pet gets a pet the next day, but is too stupid to tell the difference and it always thought the human was its mommy or daddy anyway...
