The pipistrelle bat is a very small bat indeed. It's considered to be the smallest in all of Europe, with its body only measuring two-inches long or less! It can be found in southwestern Asia, parts of Korea, North Africa, and Europe. It's the most common bat species in the British Isles. Even though this bat is so small, just a single one can eat up to 3,500 insects (mosquitos, midges, small moths) in a single night!
