I have just had such a bizarre experience! my mom comes up to me with her arms full of sucks and says "let's go sock glide on some hardwood floors" she goes outside and up to the top floor of the barn where my dad is making an office I wait a while and eat the best damn brownie of my life then put on some fuzzy socks and head up me, high as fuck, emerges into the second floor of the barn and low and behold my entire family, including grandma and grandpa, are gliding around on a brand new hardwood floor all wearing ridiculous fuzzy socks

like i did a scene yesterday that sort of ended up being the origins of ben and jerry’s ice cream, and my character (jerry) had started out with a petty gripe about ice cream but by the second scene had gotten tired of fighting and revealed that he truly had affection for benjamin despite their arguing

i didnt have to think at all about how jerry felt or what he wanted or where he wanted to steer the scene, i became a vessel for the character and all i had to do was emote the feelings on my face

Okay... On one side that's a big relief because I know the universe isn't sending me signals.

... But the ressemblance is so uncanny it now disturbs me even more. It is the second time in my life I find a clone of someone on the other side of the Earth. (The first was a store clerk in Germany that looked almost identical to, again, another guy I knew from high school - except for the nose, which was slightly differently shaped). Meanwhile here the hair, the clothes, the face and even the expressions are identical (my kind-of-friend was a master at pulling dead/annoyed faces like that).

I guess if the photo had been taken from a different angle I would have known it wasn't him... But without the context I could have sworn it was him.

It reinforces my belief in "there's always one identical stranger somewhere in the world". Which wasn't my belief at first - but when I confessed my "Germany store clerk" experience to my mother, she revealed to me she also had a bizarre experience like that - she went to join her best friend of the time at a mall, when she was a teenager, and she started talking to a girl there... who as it turned out wasn't her best friend (as she had assumed), but looked almost entirely identical to her. What made it even more disturbing is that when I mentionned the nose being shaped slightly differently, she confirmed to me that it was also the case for her "almost identical stranger" encounter - the nose was shaped slightly differently. But without this, and meeting her actual best friend latter, she could have sworn her friend as just pulling a prank on her by pretending not to know her.
