Do you think some popular bjd accounts secretly own recasts? I mean it’s not to hard to make a doll pass legit.

I KNOW "proartists" from the old elitists who have up to 3 recasts passing as legits, old ladies mostly, and no one thinks about it because they're SO vocal about being against recasts that for the people following them, if they say "I lost the box and COA on a moving before I had to worry about awful recasts" it makes perfect sense and they just take it as a truth.

It's all about who you are, or how loud you scream, and you can be "the antiest anti" and get away with a couple Volks or old brand recasts for sure.

I won't give their names because I don't want to either get involved in an accusations war, but trust me, I know, and they know I know.

What drama are you people talking about? This is all I see on the tags. People say they see drama, but I see none of it happening. If there is "drama " do tell. As I never see it happening as much as the idiots on the BJD tag complain about it.

Alright I was in a very vent-y mood last night and then I realized what pissed me off applied to this hobby too? So I’m going to ‘confess’ it here. The problem is not that everyone is a drama whore, nor that everyone is out to get everyone and that this hobby is just full of bitches. No, the problem is that when something upsets y'all most of you rarely say shit. You bottle it up until it gets to be a big problem and that’s when you take action instead of doing it beforehand. You don’t say anything until it becomes so bad that the spite builds up, and that’s why when you finally tell someone your problem with them it seems to come out of left field. People in this hobby are too damn shy- if someone pisses you off with something they did don’t hop around the problem until it becomes too big for you to ignore. Whether it’s them copying your dolls, or shitty behavior in general, 👏call👏that👏👏bitch👏out👏 like?? It isn’t hard?? Jesus fucking Christ?? Just be honest??

How — as a hobby — fo we discuss RECAST BJDs without it turning into a war of morality?

BJD Stuff! Kind of a Warning-ish.

I don't know if any of y'all collect BJDs, but a lot of people in the BJD groups I'm in as well as people on DOA have been having problems with Dolk lately.

Basically, they're coming in and informing their customers that the item they bought costs more than it said, so they owe more money. The customer can and will receive a refund, but much will be lost due to conversion rates.

Not only that, but they're listing items as in stock when they're not. Someone in one of the Facebook groups I'm in finished their 5 month layaway only to be told that the doll she was purchasing had already been sold, so they refunded her... and then much was lost due to that conversion rate.

Unfortunately, I don't have the receipts on this shady business going on. The groups I'm in on Facebook are closed ones and a lot of the discussions on DOA seem to have been deleted...

I dunno, just thought if any of y'all buy from Dolk, you should probably know. I haven't bought in a while, but like... this ain't just a really awful scammer on Facebook, this is a company doing this. Wth.
