With no clear-cut indications if any party will touch the magic 21-mark, Congress and BJP intensified their backroom parleys on Wednesday in a bid to get partners to form the government. Central leaders of both the parties have landed in Goa on the eve of the results day to fine tune their strategies as the 2022 elections seem very crucial to both BJP and Congress.
Comfortably placed to retain power in Goa, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday said it will take a decision on staking claim to form the next government in the state after a meeting of its newly elected MLAs on Friday. BJP emerged as the single largest party winning 20 seats in the 40-member Goa assembly.
