Katsuki stands just inside the private dining room of one of the most expensive restaurants in Tokyo, flicking imaginary lint off his immaculate business suit. His indolent pose belies the tension in his gut.
Toshinori Yagi, President and CEO of All Might Industries — Ground Zero Inc.'s biggest and last remaining rival — has finally agreed to a meeting. Toshinori is a legend, a true visionary for his time; but now he's old, too set in his ways to bring his company any further.
Katsuki is the future and it's time Toshinori acknowledged it.
He hears voices outside and the door slides open. Kaminari politely escorts their guests inside, giving Katsuki a look he couldn't decipher.
Like Katsuki, Toshinori had brought someone with him, likely an assistant; a junior officer. Toshinori's tall frame hid the man from his view. Katsuki's focus was on Toshinori in any case, a man who could have been mentor to him had things been different; a source of inspiration at the very least. Someone Katsuki respects but aims to surpass.
"Bakugou shounen, thank you for this invitation."
"You honor us with your presence," Katsuki responds in this well-established exchange of necessary pleasantries.
"May I introduce my son, Izuku. He's only recently back in Japan after several years studying and working abroad."
Toshinori turns to reveal a young man. Green hair, green eyes, freckles.
Izuku’s left cheek is currently unmarred, missing a shy dimple that Katsuki fucking knows is there, hiding; Katsuki had spent hours last night coaxing it to make an appearance. Izuku's mouth is open, soft lips Katsuki had devoured like a madman just hours before now form a small 'oh' of surprise.
Fucking Deku.
Fucking I'm-nobody-important-just-very-new-here-in-Japan-and-happy-to-meet-you Deku.
Fucking incredibly-hot-in-bed-moaning-under-Katsuki Deku.
Fucking wasn't-there-anymore-when-Katsuki-woke-up-and-didn't-leave-a-FUCKING-number DEKU.
"I'm stepping down. Retiring. Izuku's just been confirmed as the new CEO of All Might. He's shown us some plans and I'm certain he'll bring the company to a fresh new direction," Toshinori continues, oblivious to the tension between the two young men.
"That is interesting news," Katsuki says, tearing his eyes away from green doe eyes he'd tried all morning to banish from his mind, his smile just this side of sharp.
A merger or a takeover. One way or the other. He doesn't particularly care which.
