BKDKFL Twin Stars Discord Server!

Our affiliation with what was previously known as the BKDKFL discord server has partially ended. The server has come to take on an identity of its own outside of the library, and the dutiful admins and mods who have worked hard for it have revamped it into a general BKDK server. It has a whole new space aesthetic, it’s awesome.

Come join and get some insight into the blog and staff! Nominations for the Fic of the Month/Year are solely accepted there as well so don’t be afraid to join in on the fun! Go forth and shine like the Twin Stars of 1-A!

Hey - about your discord server that your planning to open up - are there any requirements? To like stay in or go into the server? What if you're like really shy and just like the fic rec? Would it be okay to just stay around there? Ah sorry if I didn't make any sense - I really love your recommendations. Thank you for reading this far. ❤️

Hello! The only requirement is that you have to be a BakuDeku fan, since this is a BakuDeku server, and that you follow the rules (which are basic ones like “don’t be an asshole and no offensive humor, such as racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, pedophilic, rape jokes”). And it’s okay if you’re too shy to join in on the conversation! 

One thing I want to make very clear, though, is that I really hope the server doesn’t become a replacement of our Fic Rec Submissions. Of course people are allowed to recommend fics in the chat, but we really hope that people also submit them to the blog because the whole point of our follower fic recs is that they’re public and that we can send the writers a link to the post, so that it’s clear they’re appreciated. The BakuDeku only chat better not become just list of links. The only time there’s gonna be a bunch of links to fics will be for the “Fic of the Month”s, which we’re planning on starting next month. 

We know that it’s much easier to just send a link than to submit a fic rec in our format, and that’s why, no matter what, people are probably not gonna send it in as a submission once it is in the chat, but I’m begging you guys 😥

I spend 4+ hours a day making mini-list and masterlist, and it would be a big help if people could submit fic recs. 

When I said I wanted the server to be an extension of the fic library, I meant that it will be a place for people to discuss fics that they really liked with other people who have read it. For example, if there was an ongoing fic that a lot of people are reading and doesn’t already have its own Discord server, we could make a channel for it and talk about it there without spoiling anything for anyone who might want to read it later 😊

Are there any rules about being active on the discord server?

Nope! No one is obligated to chat if they don’t want to 😊 We won’t kick anyone out for being inactive. It’s just meant to be a fun, stress-free place for people who like BakuDeku to hang out at!

About the discord, are there going to be any rules about age or anything else ?

Hello! It is open to all ages, except for the NSFW channel 😊 We have other rules, but they’re all basic stuff like don’t harass people, no ship bashing, etc. Thank you for asking about this, and let us know if you have any other questions!

Hey so I'm really new to Discord, and I really want to join the server but I have no idea how. Could you point me in the right direction?

Hello! We’re not sure when exactly we’re gonna open up the server, but it has already been made. I am just trying to figure out what channels I should add and am toggling with the settings and permissions. Two people have volunteered to be a moderator, and so I’m gonna consult them first. And when we are all ready, we will post an invite link to the server! 

I believe that it is possible to use discord without downloading it, but if you don’t mind it, here are their download links! They have a mobile app by the way. 

Just like Skype, they require you to make an account, though!

Sorry for the silly question, but i'm not keen in this kind of things. What's a discord server? Can i subscribe or it's just for a group of users? If yes, how? I'm a little shy, and i'm not even english..

Don’t worry! That’s not a silly question! A Discord Server is a big chatroom with multiple text channels for different topics. I’m planning on making our server to be an extension of the blog as well as just a fun place to hang out. It’s going to be a public server, which means that all of our followers are invited, but we’ll try to take precautionary measures to make sure that those that are not supposed to be there (an//ti-bakudeku & an//ti-bakugou people) gets in. 

The good thing about big servers (and we hope it will be because that’s what the poll results are saying) is that there’s no pressure to always be talking! Even if only half of the people who gave a definite yes on the poll join, that’s still 48 people, so I doubt that it’s gonna be dry. Plus, we’re planning on having lots of channels for all different kinds of topics so if you don’t want to talk about BakuDeku at that moment, there’s a general chat, a BNHA chat, a multishipping chat, etc! If you just want to listen to the conversation, that’s totally fine, too 😊

The only time you’re obligated to talk is when you first get there. We would like people to introduce themselves (let us know what name you want to be called by, your pronouns, etc) so that we can make sure that you’re not there to start trouble and assign you a role. 

The only thing is I’m not sure how many bilingual people will be joining. If you’re more comfortable speaking your native language, we would want you to be able to talk to others in that language! I’m fluent in English and Tagalog, so if you’re pinoy, I’ve got your back ❤️
