*Hello, everyone. It’s been a while again, hasn’t it? A lot has certainly happened since I last posted... The mod hopes you are all doing as well as you can.

*Things are... still not going too well on the brain-wrangling front, admittedly. But the mod refuses to give up! They’re going to stay determined and find a way forward!

*On that note, the mod thinks they’ll scrap the visual novel style idea in favor of smaller comic panels. Panels are better suited for how they wish to tell the story, they feel.

*The mod hopes to see you again soon!

Hi, for some reason the links to each page of the story do not work, like you're just clicking on words typed in this question. Do you know why that is?

*Ah... It looks like tumblr has a limit on how many links a page can have, just as it has a limit on how many links a post can have.

*Seems the Link Database posts will be the way to go from here on out. Go check those out if you need to find a certain page!

*The two lines connecting “Chara”and chocolate are as follows:

*The first can be seen if you have Frisk check Toriel’s refrigerator in a Pacifist/Neutral run. It says, “For some reason, there is a brand-name chocolate bar in the fridge.”

*The second can be seen if you have Frisk check Toriel’s refrigerator in a No Mercy run. It says, “No chocolate.” in red text.

*Presumably, people interpreted this reaction as meaning that there is no chocolate in Toriel’s refrigerator, and “Chara” is upset by this. Thus, the conclusion that “Chara” loves chocolate. 

*However. There is another way to interpret this.

*It is entirely possible that “No chocolate.” is not meant to be a statement on the lack of chocolate in the refrigerator, but a command to Frisk not to eat any of the chocolate that is there.

*Curious how the former seems to have gained total dominance in fandom interpretation.

(Chara looks just, sad all the time. I looked at the older ones you tagged and Chara is adorable when they smile. They deserve to more. Also have you drawn gaster before? Or maybe even the other amalgams? Sorry I just really like your art and your interpretation)

*The mod hasn’t drawn this Gaster, but they have drawn Gaster before, yes!

*There is this one from @angelofhyperdeath. (The mod has done a decent number of expressions for him, too.)

*And then there is this one, who is technically from an unposted AU (but who the mod loves to toss into crossover situations):

*Hello, dear readers. It has been a while, hasn’t it?

*Again, the mod offers their sincerest apologies for not posting. But instead of offering reasons and excuses, let’s forge ahead into the future, shall we?

*With that said. An important factor in the lack of updates is that the program/computer the mod has been using to create the comic has slowed down to the point where drawing with it is more of a chore than a hobby. It simply is quite tedious when one has to wait several seconds to see what one has drawn…

*Now, the mod does have a newer computer, and a newer program. However, they are not very familiar with this program (yet). In addition, they are wondering if it might be a good idea to alter the style of the comic in order to be able to produce pages more quickly.

*So! What do you think, readers? There are a few options here:

Game screenshot style: Not unlike other Undertale works, this would consist of editing screenshots from Undertale in order to create panels. It would likely allow the mod to create pages extremely quickly, but result in the comic losing its individual style.

Visual novel style: This would have rendered and expressive character art over static backgrounds (possibly game screenshots to save even more time, but that’s negotiable), in the style of visual novels. It might look a bit strange in terms of character interaction, but would allow for more original art than the game screenshot style. You can actually see how the mod has done this style (as an askblog) at @angelofhyperdeath !

Sketch style: A messy (but possibly endearing?) method that would involve panels being created using rough lineart only. Faster than how the mod currently does panels on account of the lack of colors.

Current style: Our current style, though the mod likely would try to find a way to cut down on the amount of sketching needed, possibly through the creation of reuseable backgrounds and poses.

*Or perhaps you have a better idea?

*At any rate, the mod thanks you all for being here and wishes you well in 2020.

Fighting with asgore isn't a big mystery. He breaks the mercy button so only FIGHT does anything in the battle after that point.

*This is true, in your game of Undertale, but allow me to point out two things:

*First, I was not aware of your world back then. I would not have known this particular scenario was a possibility.

*Second, the path Frisk has taken, by this point, has already diverged greatly from what happens in your game. Are you really so sure Asgore's actions will be so predictable to you?

Heya Chara, here's a casual question. What kind of chocolate do you like? Dark, milk, white (we don't talk about white chocolate. that's for none chocolate lovers-), with nuts or M&Ms, etc

*This has been discussed before, but there is no harm in doing so again.

*I have only ever had the chance to enjoy bars of plain milk chocolate, so that is my favorite by default. I have no extreme love or hatred for dark or white chocolate, as I have never tried them.

*... Coincidentally. The mod realized something interesting the other day.

*The entire Undertale fandom seems to have collectively decided that “Chara” is a chocolate lover. However, the two lines linking “Chara” and chocolate do not necessarily indicate a love of the latter.

*Indeed, it is entirely possible to view “Chara” as indifferent to chocolate, or even as hating it, and not go against stated canon.

*Interesting, is it not?

I'm sure you'll like it... Especially the boss fight! But I think you killed toriel so... You get fight with flowey instead

*Frisk has killed many other monsters besides Toriel. From what I understand about RESETs, though, that would be rendered irrelevant.

*Still. Curious how you seem to think a RESET is inevitable.
