May the River and Sea Flow Upwards is a Chinese Gay movie that focuses on Same Sex Couples raising children and the difficulty they face accessing certain services in Mainland China. It was directed by Ran YinXiao, a pro LGBTQ rights director (Backlit Years).

Synopsis (Credit to MDL):

As the second work of young director Ran Yinxiao, "May the Rivers and Seas Flow Upward" with Chongqing as the background, tells a different kind of family story between three unrelated people. The film has a time span of nearly a century and records the life trajectories of two generations and two families.

Episode Updates

My Engineer aired the second episode of their summer trip on YouTube - you can catch up with the cast and their antics whilst waiting for the second season!

En of Love: This is Love Story aired the 3rd episode, which is also the final episode. They decided to cut this series short by an episode, but I’m not entirely sure why. Let’s hope that they decide to film a full length series of one of them... or all of them!

Fathers

Fathers is a 2016 Thai BL movie which takes a look at the LGBTQ community and the stigma they face adopting children. The production see Nat Saktadorn (Friend zone) cast as one of the main leads.

Synopsis (Credit to MDL): Phoon, 36, a finance and investment manager, and Yuke, 33, a graphic illustrator, have been in a serious relationship for 13 years. The couple has adopted an abandoned child named Butr since he was a baby. When the child goes into grade one at school, he is made fun of not having a mother by his school friends, which makes the once-specialty that he has two fathers undesirable. Consequently, the son begins to ask about his own mother, and that causes some discomfort to the fathers to answer. Following the advent of Rattiya, the director of the Children’s Right Protection Organization, everything in the family is changed. Her suggestions and the dig-up for Butr’s background causes even more tension to Phoon and Yuke. The couple doesn’t have so many options but to choose what is best for their son, even though they may be in despair.
