Genuine question: how did you get the water so dark? I've tried using black pigments and it just turns a cloudy grey color. Thank you
I use food colouring. My current preference is AmeriColor’s Soft Gel Paste Food Color in Super Black. You can order from them directly, but I found mine at a local food gourmet shop. I use about 9 drops/squeezes. The gel paste will settle at the bottom, so you will have to stir it around a bit. If you want something more inky for divination, go with a liquid based one instead like LorAnn Oils Liquid Food Color. Black Lava salts are really good at making the bath black as well, but you require quite a bit of it (I don’t use it often because I have to travel to the other side of town to get it, so I reserve them for more special occasions only). Edit: I forgot to mention these black food colouring I have used seem to both be green based black colouring, so it does have a nice rich oceany abyss vibe to them if you don’t use as many drops.
