I have seen a lot of things on a lot of stages in my 45 years and I must say that Black Bois is without a doubt one of the most intensely beautiful, dark, disturbing, dynamic, and joyous masterpieces I have ever had the honor to witness. Thankfully the universe lined up just right and Panda and I were able to go to the dress rehearsal tonight. I understand the pain of ripping your own heart to shreds onstage so I understand why it might not be emotionally possible to continue performing it after this run of shows but, seriously, this could be on Broadway. It could travel the world. People would fight for tickets to this. It really is so so so important and so so so impactful. My heart is simultaneously imploding and bursting out of my ears. I cried and cried and cried. Thank you so much for your work Dani Tirrell and thanks to everyone involved. You are geniuses. You are perfect. Every fucking one of you.
