Social Media Fail of the Day #TheySeeMeTrollin

Social Media does not stop with networks such as Twitter, Facebook, Google+, and such it extends itself to blogs and blog comments. Now I know my local newspaper blog has had it’s fair share of comments and crazy rude people and just plain ignorant people whom just comment before reading the posts. This is to be expected but when the Beehive chooses to feature a local establishment instead of yours, it is not ok for you to “Troll” the comment section in favor of yourself. Today’s fail belongs to Island Waterpark. The featured business Blackbeard’s has been around since I was a child and it has lasted longer than I ever thought it would. This is something worth praising, celebrating local entertainment areas struggle to stay relevant and new, and this one has struggled. So for it to be featured, as a “Fresno Faves” is awesome! As a business owner, (even if I were a rival) I would praise them and tell them how much I appreciate them and what they have done for entertaining the valley for many many years. Here is the write up. 

Now there are lots of comments and appreciation and memories from people who have been there to check out. 

And now for the Troll comment......

Wow, so instead of saying anything nice you just simply post about how your business is superior because of certain attractions. Wow what a freaking blow hard, last time I checked this business has struggled as well and this could have been a place to show some true class and gain some respect but you kinda pissed that away. This is truly sad because businesses should be helping each other and long-standing businesses need praise and acknowledgement not a crap comment by a rival business.

Sorry, Island Waterpark but whoever is running your “Marketing” and such needs a refresher course or five.  For this I give you the Social Media Bad Form award! Enjoy! By the way, Wild Water has shade!
