Louise sighed loudly. In the grand scheme of things, working at Theater of the Mind was good, but nothing bummed her out more than being inside when the weather outside was so beautiful and warm. Fall was Louise's favourite season, but she might have been her happiest in the summertime, in all honestly. After another dramatic sigh, she turned to look to her co-worker. "I'm so jealous; look at those people out there, having fun." She gestured to the window with a nod of her head. "What would you be doing if we didn't have to be here right now?"

Noelle shook their head." I'm sure, please order anything you'd like." The witch did the same, getting themselves another cocktail this time a different one from the menu, the last one they told themselves.

Once they had placed their order, Noelle turned their attention to the stranger taking his hand to shake." It's nice to meet you as well Dimi." They let go forgetting for a moment to introduce themselves far to excited for the next drink." O-Oh sorry where are my matters. Noelle, Noelle Wakefield."

"I know, I know! I'm late! But I come bearing bribes and apologies," Lupe sang out as she rushed into the Twilight Cauldron 45 minutes later than she should have. A bag from the Ceramic Cup swung from her hands, her sunglasses just barely on her nose as her sweater hung off of one shoulder and she tried to balance a coffee in the other. She was a hot mess but one that still seemed in good spirits as she grinned once she was face to face with her boss. "Your favorites and some sweet treats. I swear I set my alarm and then I stubbed my toe on the way out my God I thought I was dying and then my coffee maker wouldn't work so I went to the cafe but the line was so long and the guy in front of me must have been ordering for an army because shit he walked out with like four trays and three bags. Insane. Then the coffee I got spilled and so I had to get a refill and obviously flirt with the barista, anyway," she sighed and unpacked the food for them as she rattled off, not even paying attention to if they had customers yet.

She took a big sip from her coffee and slid her glasses up onto her head. "So, did I miss anything fun?"

The wind had picked up by the time Goldie made it to his front door, but it wasn’t the weather that had her heart hammering. She stood there for a long minute - long enough for bag handles to start cutting into her fingers, long enough to start regretting the decision to wear lipstick just to show up on someone’s porch like she was selling Tupperware and not, you know, desperately trying to figure out how to be a sister for the first time in her life. The big thermal bag she’d brought - one lined with foil and overstuffed with carefully selected kosher deli sandwiches, soup containers, and her best attempt at a homemade kugel (store-bought noodles, don’t tell anyone) - sat at her feet. She didn’t even know if he liked kugel. She didn’t know if he liked anything, really. And she hated that.

She exhaled through her nose, rang the bell, and she also knocked once for good measure. What if his doorbell was broken? It wasn't like she was a frequent enough visitor to know, if so. It only took a beat for her to begin to panic, worrying that it was too much. Goldie was used to being so much more nonchalant. She was also used to being an only child, however, so there were a lot of obstacles to face in her outing. "Sorry!" She called through the door, forcing her voice into something light and teasing, though her stomach twisted like she was on the edge of a rooftop. "Didn't mean to be annoying. Just overthinking everything and breaking down emotionally on your porch, no big deal, only slightly..." She laughed. It cracked a little.

"Hey Doc, sorry to bother you, you got a second?" Xander usually would have kept it to himself and fixed himself up when he got home but he had a long shift ahead of him. "Sorry about crowding your waiting room though. Patient insisted we brought him here instead. Seems like he trusts you more than anybody," Xander admitted with a shrug. He most knew Doctor Adams in passing from their work. But people in the community seemed to like him and Xander had great respect for that. "It's just the guy was a little agitated when we arrived, he might have thrown a few things, I didn't think it was much but he nicked me here," Xander told him and pointed at the cut on his neck. "You uh mind just checking it out to make sure it doesn't get infected? You'd be doing me a real solid."

"Have you eaten yet?" While others might have said 'hello' or 'how are you?', Enzo walked right through the front door with what he felt was the most important greeting of all. Having already spotted no customers through the windows as he approached the establishment, he figured that he wasn't going to be interrupting anything, and in all honesty, he felt a little smug about having timed his arrival seemingly perfectly. "I brought you a sandwich, a soda, and a cookie," he placed all three on the counter in front of Dimi, the sandwich and cookie both protected by plastic film, the drink in a cold can. "There's only so much time I can spend outside in the cold, thought it'd be best to take a break from working."

Located at Thunderstruck Bowling Alley

It was Corey's turn to plan an outing for himself and Ocean, a dear friend who he wasn't interested in neglecting in any way, shape, or form. Corey had never been overly great at planning anything, but as of late, here in Cardinal Hill, Corey had been inspired to give it his very best go. He didn't want to lose those who were important to him, and now more than ever, he understood the importance of keeping his loved ones close. He'd experienced loss before, and the last thing that he wanted was to experience such an awful feeling again. Even if he was being dramatic with his thinking, there was no harm in spending time with those who he cared about most.

So Corey found himself at the bowling alley, standing at a lane with his friend, laughing loudly after his very first attempt at hitting the ten pins down. "I told you, I haven't done this in a while," he justified his lack of skills and his awful turn. "But at least there's no pressure for you to match my level; I'm sure you've got this in the bag after what I just did here," he kept laughing, shaking his head, already having fun. It was so nice, to have fun, to just let go, to try to focus on anything other than his anxiety, his insecurities, and the ominous happenings in Cardinal Hill.

Happy would have never suspected how nice it was to be friends with fellow parents until he had a child of his own. Not only could they provide Happy with invaluable advice - particularly those friends who had children older than Keiko, and who were able to provide him with an insight on the months and years to come - but they could also understand what it was like to prioritise their children over themselves. While other friends often wanted Happy to meet them out and about without Keiko, Dimi seemed more than comfortable with Keiko being with Happy more often than not, and it was nice for the pair to go out with their children together, even if Keiko was too young to provide Ozma with ample entertainment as of yet.

They sat at a picnic table, protected from the weather due to the fixed marquee overhead, and after all the excitement of watching the neighbourhood children play in the snow, Keiko was fast asleep in her own little snow suit, in Happy's arms. He was more than happy to keep on holding her, not wanting to risk disturbing her from her slumber. "It's so nice to see that the snow hasn't stopped them from enjoying their weekends," Happy commented, gesturing a head over to the group of kids in the middle of an intense snowball fight. "I don't know if I'm excited for when Keiko's big enough to join in, or absolutely horrified," he added with a chuckle.
