some yapping about Iron Lung that I want to get off my chest
but in short,
it was SO FUCKING COOL!!! ABSOLUTE CINEMA!!! I really want to go see it again (like actually, that never happended to me before)
as someone who don't really watch horror films (out of preference) it was such an amazing movie and I'm not only saying that because I'm Mark's fan. It was actually good.

Mark really outdid himself as a director, writer AND an actor (and many other things, like damn, how many are there??). The atmosphere was amazing, you could feel the tension building up steadily right until the finale, the dread of unknown danger beyond the iron walls. God, the psychological aspects of being trapped in basicly a tin can. Loved it all. I was on the edge of my seat, flaggergasted, for the last like 20-30 mins. Whole room went silent (and I totally forgot about my snack I was munching on basically the whole movie).
Also wanted to comment on the pacing of the film. I saw people complaining about it, saying it was too long, it should've been shorter etc. and I don't know if it's the reduced attencion spam showing but some of them are being ridiculous. Personally, I would say it was really really good, a nice slowburn. Even though the whole movie was shot inside the submarine, they maneged to keep you engaged, through different camera angles, discovering new corners of the sub.
And, oh my god, the CAMERA ANGLES!!! they were amazing!!! all the different creative shots they did inside- just- AAAAAH I can't find the words how stunning they were, to describe how much I enjoyed just seeing them all aaaaaaah <333 one shot in particular really stood out to me, it was so fascinating shot.
The soundtrack is also phenomenal, huge kudos to Andrew, I still have to get around to listening to the whole album but, just from the movie, I can say all of it is amazing.
My only real complaints is that it was a like too dark (maybe fault of the cinema idk), I could barely make out what was going on on the screen half the time. It was definitely on purpose here and there, and giving that there was barely any light source in the first place but it could have been a bit brighter.
Another thing is the dialouge, well, more of hearing it. I've seen plenty of people talk about it, how at times you couldn't tell what was being said. Again, of course, there were moments where it was by design but there were moments where you most definetly should have. Thankfully, there were subtitles at my screening, otherwise, I don't think I would understood half of it (with my (most probably) APD).
Also, I think they could have shown/talked about the lore more. As someone who went semi-blind to the screening (I only watched Mark's gameplay, over 3.5 years ago, and vaguely remember it), I didn't really know what was going on. That being said, I saw people saying the movie expanded on the game's lore or something. So I guess that's good. For me, it didn't really take away the enjoyment of watching.
Okay, to sum up, phenomenal movie. Shout out to everyone involved, they all did amazing job and I'm glad we got it international and got it to #1 (for a little bit ;P)
