Looking down rewards the orca with a tiny seal pup, using his calf as a punching bag. Awww, how adorable.
“Hey, pipsqueak. You’re punching all wrong. Want me to teach you?”
She gave him one more good whap with her flipper before looking up. She knew how to claw but her flippers didn’t do much justice when it came to raw hitting, at least not with her inexperienced mits.

“Look, look.” The seal had completely waddled up and began pestering the orca as soon as she seen him sitting by the cliffs and smoking. Inside her claws was a matted up clump of black and white yarn, torn to shreds by something obviously sharper then the young ones claws.
“It used to be you-” Without even asking she dropped the clump on his leg and pulled out other bits of yarn, ones not entirely destroyed but in the shape of small and poorly made figures of the other residents. “Look at these ones too.”

was this ... really okay ? not that she wanted to be mean or anything , that’s the last thing she ever wanted to do to anyone -- ESPECIALLY any (assumed) denizen of her sea , but ... to say the orca was scarier than a shark was an understatement . he’s tall -- reeks of smoke -- and would probably eat her if presented with the right dipping sauce , but ...
well , it’ll be okay , right ? if things go south , she can just run , right ? no way anyone could be so cruel as to attack her if she fell asle-- ... wait , yes they can . alright , no sleep for her, but she will lean the slightest bit towards idate while her gaze stays night sky-bound . wadda , honey , no -- don’t hug onto his arm , not even a little . fucking hell .
