Reason #8038 that Preds fans are the best fans: pretty much any time Patrick Kane, a horrible person, scores, someone in the Preds’ barn will be in the background of the broadcast flipping him off. Examples:

Exhibit A. This young woman, looking like a serene renaissance painting, one gentle hand outstretched to express her disdain

Exhibit B. A lively fellow who feels that one upraised middle digit was simply insufficient to express his sentiments (from here)

Exhibit C. Finally, my very favorite, this gentleman who was moved by the spirit of the lord to run over from another section, shout “You’re a piece of shit!” while using a single upraised figure to emphasize his point, and then return to his seat, secure in the knowledge that he has made the world a better place.

What a good night in Hockeyland. The Leafs win in Double OT, breaking the chance of a Cap sweep, and the Preds shutout the H*wks again, leaving them goalless in the playoffs thus far.

tbh, this nashville-chicago game 4 is the most iconic nhl game that has ever taken place, and nothing will ever live up to it again.

lmao last year when I was still fairly “new” to hockey, two of my (male) coworkers started up a conversation with me about the playoffs and asked which team I thought would win the cup. I told them I had picked the penguins. they both LAUGHED at me and said the pens wouldn’t make it out of the first round (”they can’t beat the rangers!!!”). and they both informed me that the hawks would DEFINITELY win the cup.

and this is the second year the hawks have gotten knocked out in the first round 😊
