YEAAAAH LET'S GOOO! XP
Making some good progress with Blackout! This script was especially hard to write on my own so I'm proud I got it finished :) (If you don't know what Blackout is, I posted about it on my Twitter in a pinned post, and I will talk about it on my main blog and my art blog right here after I'm done making my CQ OC bios.)
P.S.: The character, Black, is NOT mine! He belongs to a friend (I think he goes by blue1.85 on Instagram). He is also the creator of the project- I am merely an artist and assistant writer!)

For a week Wendy was calculating imploringly. one seventeen, and two six two nine and six, eighteen and three three seven, eight seven-- --eight nine, seven, dot seven-- to nine two.
tiny boxes, pages 1 & 2. Excited!
Gardens and Doors, Pages 1 & 2 Today marks the beginning of a new project here at The Birds Were Flown! Here's how it works: 1. Roo and I have two copies of the same edition of one of our favorite books: Peter Pan. (Fitting, since "the birds were flown" is actually a quote from this book) 2. Each day, we are going to create one blackout poem using one page of the book. We're going in sequential order, no skipping allowed. Both of our poems with be posted here so you'll be able to see how our poems differ, despite working with the same material. 3. At the end of 228 days we will each have an entire book filled with blackout poetry. Above are my poems for the first two pages, and a sneak peak of what I have to work with for tomorrow. We hope you'll follow along!

I'm making a companion project with my friend, Mattie. She's making a series of blackout poems with the book Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer, updated daily. I'm going to be doing the same thing with the book Twilight. The idea is to make something beautiful out of something ugly. It was Mattie's idea, but it just seems to be pretty fun haha.
